What is the shift you like to work?

I have worked them all. From 8-5 to 12pm-7am. I used to like the night shift the best because I could go to the store and no one would be there. It was quiet and I could get what I wanted and not have to wait in line. Same with the pool. I live in a condo and I would have to worry about kids being in there when I wanted to go in. Today I am working a split shift. 8-12 and then I am going back at 3:30 until 7:30pm. My husband hates these hours because it interupts our having dinner together. What times do you like to work?

Hello PSmith721 this is checkmail and basically i work in day shift from 9.30 to 5.30 inbetween lunch break of 1 hour, but just think that a night shift job will be the best for me.Yes I would like to work in night shift jobs as there is mostly less crowded, less noisy, and less busy. You know during daytime its so confusing between so many peoples interacting and communication to each other and so.I like to work in peace and silence, so I will prefer a night shift from 10.00 to 6.00 am. Hope you will keep it up. GoodLuck.

I prefer to work the daytime shift, namely from 8am to 5pm. It is the normal working time. I don't want my biological clock to be messed up. I don't want to have the night shift as it is hard for me to have more spare time with my family. I love China

i used to balk at the very idea of working nights. but now that i am working nights, i find it quite likeable. it's very quite and i get to focus on stuff that i should be doing. i also get to spend the afternoons with my baby just playing with her because of these hours of work.

As a nurse, we are allowed to work on 3 different shifts. I prefer the morning, and evening shift... I do not like the NOC shift (11PM - 7PM shifts) because it would make me cranky since I usually love to sleep during those times. Assisting operations during those times exhaust me a lot. The disadvantage of going to morning shifts is that you go out of duty about the same time as all the other stores close.

Im a waitress at Steak n Shake and I have worked first, second, and third shift. By far my favorite is second shift because thats when I earned the most money. The other thing is that third shift, I got all the drunks who didnt tip, and first was mainly regulars that didnt tip well. Although I liked getting to know my customers Second shift gave me the best of both worlds!

I once worked shift, either start 8am to 5pm, 9am to 6pm, 2am to 9pm, 4pm to 11pm, or from 6pm to 2am. But my current job is stable, fix from 7.20 am to 1 pm, a school teacher, and sometimes I have evening and night class too. i prefer to work from morning to noon and at evening i can find times for myself and do the thing I want. Teaching is not giving the best pay, but the work hours is good, so I'm kind satisfied.

I have worked 2:30 to 11 pm and while it is great to be able to go into an empty store after work, I found myself staying up later and later, till I was getting to bed around 5 am and up at 12 noon, leaving me no free time. The only thing you can do after working that shift is shop in a grocery store or Walmart or watch tv. Not to mention feeling totally out of sync with your friends and the rest of the world. I've also worked 8:30 - 5 pm and the traffic is ridiculous getting to work and going home. Traffic jams every single day. Right now I work 6:15 am to 3 pm and love it. While I'm not a morning person, getting up that early isn't so bad. The traffic is more than bearable. And I have plenty of free time after work to shop (the stores aren't crowded around 3 pm) or cut the grass or do whatever I need to do in daylight. This is my perfect shift to work.

I profit from my business all year long, but when I work seasonally, it's only first shift for me. I hate getting off work any later than 4:00. It feels like my day is wasted. I've worked second shift before (10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) and you just don't have a life working those hours. My husband works third shift (seven days of work, then seven days off) and his sleeping habits have suffered, but he likes it alright. I hate being picky, but I have learned that if I work any other shift, I get so miserable at my job I end up not being there much longer anyway. I'd rather save both my time and the employer's time and get first shift.

I used to work from 8 am to 5 pm, but i would much rather work 12pm to 7 am. I normally sleep at night, but its easier for someone to watch the baby for me at night because she sleeps all night. She doesnt really like it when im gone, so for the most part as soon as i leave she screams all day. My older sister told me she would be okay sometimes, but as soon as i pull up in the car she starts crying to make it look like my sister was so evil to her while i was gone. I know she does that on purpose because shes spoiled and she doesnt want me to leave, but shes gonna have to get used to it. My little sister said if i work late night she can sleep in my bedroom with the baby. At least then everyones asleep, and its not hard to look after the baby at night because she goes to bed at 8, and wakes up around 2 am for a bottle and diaper change, and goes right back to sleep. I dont sleep much at night anyways because i worry about my husband overseas constantly, so if i could find a job that would hire me overnight while i was pregnant, that would be great.

For some reason I have always enjoyed working graveyard. I know im crazy I seem to be more awake and active at night. I have always been this way since I could remember. I love the night time. My mom use to call me a vampire and would say im a creature of the night lol.
