Why doesn't it work both ways?

On another site I belong to, someone posted some pictures of Palin and was making fun of her. She thought it was very funny as did most of the people that commented. One person took serious offense and complained mightily. Yet I'm sure if the post had been bashing Obama they would have thought that was funny. Why doesn't it work both ways?
Politics is funny, no matter who it is, be it Palin, Obama or your town mayor. If politics wasn't funny, a lot of stand up comedians would be out looking for a job
Do you laugh at political jokes when they are about a politician you like? Or do you only laugh when they are about a politician you dislike??
be sure to click the picture and have a good laugh, no matter your political persuasion

I've yet to meet a politician I liked, so I have no problem laughing at them all.
But even if for some odd reason the universe went awol where likability was concerned, I'd still laugh. After all, we're laughing at PEOPLE and their foibles, and the fact that they're politicians, just makes it sweeter because these are the people that supposedly run our countries, and everyone should know by now that Mickey Mouse brains rule the world and there's nothing funnier than that! I do agree that for a mouse he's very smart. But put a mouse sized brain in a human and ............ well you do the math! LOL

If something tickles my sense of humor then I laugh and find it funny. I do not think It would be possible for me to restrict my humor to include or exclude any particular person. I cannot control what I find funny if it it funny joke or situation then I laugh (even at inopportune moments).

Political cartoons are only funny when they are true. If its offends you then think how the person in the cartoon feels, I guess when people take shots at you obviously you have gotten on somebody nerves and that's good. If nobody is talking about you then you don't matter in the world of politicks.

Hi fwidman,
To be honest with you, I find anything about polictians are boring and not funny, they are just people that people can make fun of and I am not relly interested in all that and I don't find comedians today not funny at all but too dry with their humours.

Sadly, there are a lot of comedians these days that are not funy to me. My 18 year old sits there and laughs her butt off so maybe it is just humor for kids
Politics does tend to be boring, that;s why I like it when they are making fun of politicians

Politics is a clean game played by dirty hands..as we have all heard many times so i find politics good if it is handled with maturity and intelligence and people who make fun of politicians by drawing pictures I find it very creative however when someone gets too emotional or angry with something said against one party I find it very immature because we are only giving too many trivial situations importance.

For me, I can laugh at all political stuff. I find it funny when Saturday Night Live does different skits about political leaders - especially during election time. It's funny to see the actors act out their little quirks and habits!
