Do you like rain or sun?

Whenever the sun comes out, everyone gets excited. But being in the sun just makes me feel itchy and hot and uncomfortable. I also don't like it when it's hot outside, even if I'm inside and out of the sun. But when it rains, you can't keep me in the house, and I would rather have it always stay under 65 degrees. Is anyone else like this or am I the only one?

That sucks. It seems like you can't win. Hopefully you live in a place where you get a nice in-between temperature a lot.

I actually prefer the sun, surveygeeek, but I am also very sensitive to it. I am unfortunate in that I sunburn very easily. My skin absorbs the heat of the sun more so than most so I am prone to heat injuries. Inspite of my phyical challenges with the sun, I still prefer it over the rain; sunshine truly makes me happy.

I sunburn easily too. I always thought that was part of why I hate it, but maybe not, since you burn easily and still like it. My mom is like that too... she gets really bad seasonal depression and just a simple thing like the sun coming out can turn her whole day around.

I'm going to have to side with you on rain being the better of the two. Since I am an avid runner, the sun increases the heat outside and the amount of discomfort I feel when I run. But with the rain, the temperature is, like you said, at around 65 degrees, arguably one of the best running temperatures. Also, sometimes the rain will contain a certain scent. Maybe that scent is the rain mixing with something in the environment, but sometimes you can smell the rain and it is an inviting smell to me.
Maybe you think I am a little crazy because I think that rain has a smell, but whatever it is, it makes me feel a lot happier.

I love that smell! I always thought it was the rain hitting the hot pavement. It's one of the most comforting smells I can think of. Every time it hits me I feel like a kid again.

I will be so excited to see the sun in morning, and will be enjoying the sun light when its around 20-35`c.. But when it rises more than that, it will be irritating to me and feel alot off uncomfortable. And expect to be in home for that day.

I love the sun but its been so hot here in New Mexico that I can't stay outside more then 15 minutes. Its just to hot. When the sun is out for alot of days in a row I can't wait for a rain storm to go thru. It wets everything and cools down the temperature. When we go for 70 some days without rain I get crazy wishing and waiting for rain.

Now I feel like a wimp. I live in the Northwest and it still gets too hot and sunny here for me, even though it rains 60% of the time. I don't know how people in hot places can handle it. I guess you get used to it, though.
