My story:
I have 2 dogs and their names were todd and dags., todd was my favorite one cuz he's really passionate and always comes at me with his puppy dog eyes even though he's 9 yrs old (human time) last month he died with unknown cause we just fond him frozen on the ground we guessed it was either from the heatstroke(it was pretty hot) but he has his own doghouse and "i thin" we pretty much give him water alot., when i saw him frozen like that i was really really shocked i thought he would atleast have a year to go and he was my most favorite dog i cried for the whole night and kept checking pictures of him in the past and kept crying when i see his pictures and after a week my other dog called dags was getting fat(abnormal fat) my father said it must be constipation and so we bought laxatives(without consulting a vet. and bcuz you belive your parents the most of their wisdom) he said that some time ago we had a dog that became fat too and was prescriped with laxatives for dogs and so i believed after a few days we observed him and yet he's still getting fat and his walk was kinda in pain and so i was really worried and just took him to the veterinarian they checked him and said he has heartworm stage 4 and i asked what they can do for him and they said their is a surgery for it but the chance for the dog to live was really low if they went through the operation.,and so i couldnt think much and just stared for a long moment and was thinking that "all my dogs died bcuz i couldnt take care of them., its my fault" and after i gather all my thoughts.. i asked the doc to put him down rather than making him suffer more :,{ i cried(alot again)
And so here i am telling you guys my experience to WARN you guys if you really love your dogs care for them..
I promised myself now that i wont have dog until i'm ready and prepared for taking care of it..
thanks for reading this!... love your dogs

well that i think you should consult the vet instead of your parents in the first time but dont be too sad since they've already gone. once my dog have a little uncomfortable i will call the vet no matter its spring festival or all hallow's eve. hope you have better luck
