100% PINOY: Balot o Penoy?

My mother used to have cravings for penoy when she was pregnant with me. So she expected me to either have the characteristic of that food or would like to eat penoy when I grow up.
yet, I grew to love balot more than penoy. hehehe. i can eat as much as 4-6 balots in one sitting.(God, I'm matakaw!)
Even though I have had this experience once in eating balot where the sisiw (or kiti, or duckling, call it what you want, mga pare!) is already hard, hairy and complete with beak and feet (yuck!), I still like to eat balot.
it's not that hard to imagine since balot is till number one sought-after street/exotic food here in the Philippines.
Just a warning for those people who haven't tried it yet but want to, watch out for your cholesterol level.hehe!
How about you? Are you a balot or a penoy lover?

I love balot and penoy! When i was in Philippines i can only eat 2or 3 pieces, it's taste nice with salt and vinegar. My favorite is the 16 days old eggs. But sometimes when i over eat balot or penoy, i always feel sick. Maybe coz im too greedy lolz.

I like balot and penoy. I seldom eat it because of the cholesterol of it. Everytime I eat balot I don't want see the chick in there. It is the number one street food here in the Philippines. Even in the Survivor the balot is very famous because foreigner find it unpleasant to eat it and it is a really a challenge to eat it. Their are many ways to cook balot now a days. I don't know it is really an aphrodisiac I think it is all in the mind. Eating balot is an acquired taste for us Filipinos and this is the food that we grew up.

I haven't tried balot with vinegar yet just salt. hehehe. I prefer rock salt than iodized salt when it comes to eating balot, I don't exactly know why, maybe because it gives more texture to balot. ha!ha!

me i also love balot but just one at a time...i can also eat this with lights on! hehehe... i like "balot" if it is "balot sa puti" coz if not its...ugly! hehehe
with regards to "penoy", i also eat this but if its beside "balot" i will choose "balot" of course!
