My fiance and I are getting married next summer and are beginning to plan our wedding. We are considering doing a honeymoon registry along with a small regular store registry instead of a big store registry. We have been living together for a while now and have many things that we need already. I have been told that I have to have a store registry for my bridal shower and for guests who do not want to use the honeymoon registry, which is fine. However, do you think that a honeymoon registry is a good idea? We really want to take a nice honeymoon and we will not have the money too after we pay for the wedding so we thought this would be the best way.

I have never heard of a honeymoon registry before. I'm going to guess and say it is something for you and others to save you money so that you can go on a honeymoon after your wedding. I think that is a great idea if you don't need anything at home or anything in general for your house or yourself. I would consider doing this too if i already had everything i needed and didn't need to do a registry in a store. It is a great way to get your money for your honeymoon.

I assume a honeymoon registry works as a fund for the trip you want to take? It's like other people saving for you, so to speak? I think that if you really want to go somewhere and you'd like to go right after the wedding, then I'd say yes. That and the fact you say you already have the things you need mostly, it'd be hard to pick just what you want or need would it not for the wedding registry itself?
My fiance and I are getting married soon, and we've found that picking out what we want to put on our registry is difficult. That and our families don't exactly have much money to spare makes it harder for us to have picked out something cheap enough to not be insulting, but not expensive enough to be out of the question. Mix that in with something we actually want, WOO that was hard, lol.
But to answer your question simply, YES, that's a great idea.
Oh and congratulations to you and your fiance!
