How many credit cards do you have?

I have one and I like having it around even if the monthly statements are piling up. I make an effort to pay the whole thing off every payday and it helped manage my bills. But I was recently approved for another card since the one that I have is not visa or mastercard. This new card will have a wider reach in terms of spending and I'm looking forward to its arrival. How about you? How many credit cards do you have? Did it help your finances or pulled you down to debts?

No, I don't have any credit cards. I'm still a student and I really can't afford one. Besides, I don't want to go into debt because of a credit card or anything like that. In my case, I think that it's just pointless to have one.

I have never owned a credit card and don't ever want to own one. I have an ATM card that CAN serve for a debit if I ever need one for emergencies. The only problem I have run across because I don't believe in credit cards was getting approved for a mortgage on the house my husband and I bought...but since I already have a few mortgages because of my real estate business, and I pay them off every month, that did override the lack of credit from cards. I don't really believe in paying for something if you don't have the money. My husband has a debit card, and used to use it before we were married for more than he had in his bank account. I remember once he was so much in debt with it that when his paycheck was direct deposited, he had no money left over because of bank fees. I handle all of our finances now, needless to say. :) I find it harder to part with money when you pay with a check or cash...because you realize just how much you're spending and you think twice about spending it...separating necessities from desires.

I dont have any credit cards which suck because I cant buy anything online. I would like to have a credit card but I doubt my parents will trust me with one since the last one I had I went a little crazy and spend way to much money. But I have learned and do think I can handle a credit card now.

It is very easy to apply for a credit card here. I have two credit cards now but I don't want to apply for more credit cards. As I don't want to spend more than what I can earn. Few credit cards will be good enough for me. I love China[

I have two. One is AMEX and other one is also AMEX, but bussiness version which my father gave me so I can fuel my car. I don't like credit cards because you don't have full control of your expenses because you don't see how much money do you have at the moment. Happy mylotting and take care.

I agree... before, my bills piled up and it was hard to repay the debts. But now, I'm trying to control its use and just take care of the advantages like paying bills automatically and having 0% interest on installments.

I don't have any credit cards and I will not go and get one either. Reason its money you loan to yourself to get what you want before you earn the money to get it. I save for what is needed not wanted. The wants are the extra's that come if there is any money left. I don't want to pay interest or yearly fee's to get things that if I am patient I can get without that extra cost.

I haven't got a credit card yet. I'm scared to get one honestly. I mean, I have enough trouble with my instant access ATM card; and that's money I have. I don't want to get even further in debt. Although our instaloan lady was telling me last time I was in there that they have a prepaid mastercard. Which means that I can only spend the money that I put on the card. That I'm actually thinking about looking into just to make buying stuff online easier. My budget is so tight these days that I haven't got any extra to play with but we'll see what happens.

I have way too many. I've just cut them up except for two to have in case of emergencies and am concentrating on paying them off while preaching to my children the danger of getting into bad debt.

Hi there, i have only one credit card i am using it for 4 years now. I dont have any plan to get one at this time because sometimes its hard to manage when you have credit card. Sometimes you purchase things that you dont really needed. So now i just used my credit card for important things and i dont want to use it more often now. I am happy that ive learned how to manage using my credit card and good to see the result. Happy mylotting.

I do not have a credit card, and i do not ever plan on having one. If i can not pay cash for it. i do not want to have it. I feel that if you charge it, and do not pay the balance off every month. you are just paying a lot more for something because of the interest that you pay on the item.

I currently have two credit cards. One is HSBC, the older one, and the other is Citibank... Yes, sometimes when I am really broke, my cards help me a lot.

That is right! We just need to make a schedule or plan on how to zero out our balances and that's already ok....And we should follow the plan of course.

I have only 2 credit cards. But the statements that come once in a month always catch me in heart attack. If we don't use credit card in a wisely way, they will sure pull you down to debts. Hence I have terminate 1 of my credit card and now I have the only 1 piece of credit card. On top of that, I have applied a debit card. Hope this way will help!

I try to minimize my credit card to 2 pcs only in my wallet and I will only use them in emergency case or when I am in overseas trip. Other than that, I will use CASH to make any payment. When I saw credit ccard bill with some outstanding amount,.... headache is coming,..time to dig out $$ to make a payment again. So I try to control myself not to over-spending using my credit card.

Nobody should use credit card, even he use he should pay in time. And never never you take loan on credit card, which will make you poor and if you could not pay on time, will make bad records.
