Every culture has a case system, yours is just more formally seen. In US there is a good chance with very hard work and some luck that you can be very successful with very poor beginnings. Several of our Presidents started in very low social conditions, they were also very poor. I don't know how many years it will take for India to outgrow it's customs. If there were any way to do anything, I would think about leaving. In many cultures you would be looked on no differently than anyone else. Try to get as much education as you can and don't be afraid to start over in a new country if the chance comes around. The internet is a great way to progress, no one will ever know where you came from unless you tell them. Blessings

Firstly, you are a human being. That is what Sanatan Vedic Dharma says. just because the priests misinterpreted scriptures and demonised the society for a couple of millenia doesnt mean you have to disrespect your dharma or abandon it listening to some evil vested interests who have their own destructive agenda to implement.
There is nothing inferior in a chamar. He is as capable as a brahmin or sometimes even better. I am a BC and I dont feel inferior to anyone. Most of my friends are brahmins, and they feel in most ways I am superior to them. Do you know many of the Vedic Rishis are of lower birth and rose to the highest status in society.
Today I find that the SC communities are on a self destructive path guided by the minority communities who provide them the finances to sustain their divisive agenda. There is an interesting thing about SC or Schedule Castes. British administrator who wanted to held the missionaries created a Schedule listing out the castes and tribes to be converted to christianity. that was the purpose of the creation of the schedule.
When the SCs themselves do not shed their inferiority complex, how can they fight the menace of casteism? There are many Hindu organizations that does not differentiate man on any basis of birth. Be a part of such organizations and reform the society. That is my advice to you.

A lot of countries do have a caste system. Even the Americans who claim equality have people who are considered more worthy that others. American caste is based on race, which you cannot change, and wealth, which sometimes you can. Politics can also contribute to American caste such as the Kennedys who are treated like royalty, and movie stars some of whom are treated like royalty.
The caste system in India is something foreign to me as I have not grown up there. I have only seen television specials, and there are few of those on India's caste system. It is one of India's dirty little secrets how they treat each other with their caste system. A similar problem apparently happens in Japan. It will take another century for this to change if ever.

That isn't a problem my dear. You have nothing to do about what family you are born in, your thoughts and actions make your life. But I know living in India what kind of discrimination you have to face for something you are not responsible for. Keep faith in yourself and move on with life.
