Potentially Starting Runescape Again

Hey guys! I used to play Runescape a lot about 5-6 years ago, but then I quit when I found other and better MMOs to play. Now I have about 2 months left of summer vacation before I go back to school, and I have absolutely nothing to do. Runescape crossed my mind, but I don't want to go through the trouble of having to start all over. I do enjoy leveling the skills, and if I do start over, I'd probably want to make a mage of some sort (because mages rock, rawr). And I would not be able to become a member, so that's already off the table.
I'd appreciate it if you guys could persuade/dissuade me to play Runescape again. Please back up your argument with support (in other words, don't just say "Play it because it's fun!). Thanks so much!

I do have my old character and I remember all of his account information, but I just don't feel like picking up where I left off. Playing as him became too boring, and that led me to search for another MMO.
And I do enjoy the skill development that's offered in Runescape, but that's one of the only things I really like about it. The combat system is either too simple or two complex, never in the middle.
Any further ideas or suggestions?

I also just started playing runescape again. I stopped because i found funner and more interesting games to play.(P.S. Mages do rock =O)

you should keep playing. its fun to play and you get to meet ppl. yes it may get boring i have full rune all my stats or 40 and above and i did all the non meme quests. im a non mem if you would please comment on my disscusion that wuold be help ful tell your buds about my disscussion plz. ill give the link shortly.

I started back because i was bored. I mostly just pk lol nothing much to do then killing other players lol. Its pretty fun but when u die its kinda bad. Idc..its jus a game I die plenty but at least i pk back the items. Make a pure and thats gonna be a lot funner. When i skill it sometimes feels boring like you can do something else while you skill. I cut a tree and get bored and start watching Tv...well you know?
Fighting other players brings tension...and it feels pretty good sometimes lol........

Hrm... I was never really one to PK. I think I'll stay away from Runescape for a while. Thanks for all of the advice though, everyone!

I used to play runescape also I was a level 82 with abby whip... Well if you want a fresh start since the game has changed alot since 6 years ago why not transfer some items from your old account to start with good money to show off that you are not a noob lol

Hrm, this might actually be a fairly good idea. After all, I did have some pretty cool stuff on my old account, including a Rune longsword a friend gave me.

you defintly should start playing again but be carefull not to drag to much time spent on runescape, but there are alot of new updates and way better graphuics of what there used to be on runescape so you will enjoy it alot more i think now go head and give it a shot www.runescape.com

you should make a pure or something fun so you dont get bored easily, make money, theres alot to do on the game
