My 3yr old has a guardian Angel

Last Wednesday, my son had major airway reconstruction. On Wednesday he was pretty wiped out and in pain. By Friday, he was full of energy. My fiance came to visit us at the hospital and we took my son to the "forest", which is a play section in the middle of the children's ICU where kids can play or visit their siblings during their stay. My son was playing, running in circle really, and suddenly stops, turns around and says "hi". I looked over, expecting to see someone there because he always says Hi to random people, but noone was there. I said to him "there isn't anyone there". My fiance said maybe he could see someone. We didn't think much more of it.
Well last night we came home from a week stay in the hospital. While I was dressing my son for bed, putting his jammies on him in the living room, he looked over and said "Bye" and waved to nothing. I looked behind me to see what in the world he seen, and again nothing was there. My fiance was sitting in the living room with us, and I said, oh my he just did it again!
We tucked my son into bed after that.
My fiance and I began discussing what happened Friday and now what happened last night. I said maybe he had seen an "angel" or "spirit". Some do believe that children can "see" things that we cannot.
I think his angel was watching over him in the hospital, and followed him around. I believe the angel came home with us, and then once seen my son was safe it decided to leave and told him "bye" last night.
It's very odd, but with everything that happened, it surely makes sense. If I hadn't witnessed it myself, I probably wouldn't believe it.
It's sorta nice knowing that a higher power is watching and protecting my son.
I wonder if some angel is watching over the rest of us.

I have to say that when I read this discussion, I started to get teary eyed. I have to say that I agree with you. He had an angel watching over him while he was in the hospital. I believe in this kind of stuff because children are smart at that age and does in fact see things that we don't see. So there for the angel rode with you all home to make sure that it got it's job done and made sure that you all got home safe. I know that everyone has an angel for times in need. I only hope that if we ever have to go through something horrible that our children's angel will do what your son's angel did and make sure that our and us get home safe. Well I hope that your son has a healthy full recovery at home. God Bless you and your family through this time.

Since posting this message, we have had one other encounter with, what i believe, is my son's angel.
I would never believe these things, if I hadn't seen them with my own eyes. It's such a good feeling to know my son is being watched by a higher power.
Weeks ago, I got my son's finger caught in the hinge of my truck door. It was awful. Before we walked out the door that afternoon-- my son was waving and saying 'bye' to what appeared to be nothing.
Later that evening, I told my fiance that my son must have gotten hurt with my truck door because he said "bye" to his angel that afternoon....... My fiance said No, his angel did not leave him--- His angel was waiting for you outside.
After thinking back, I think my fiance was right. The way my son's hand was in the hinge of my door when I closed it-- should have literally broke his whole entire hand, and fingers, and quite possibly taken off a couple fingers in whole.
However, my son only lost a finger nail out of the whole ordeal. The finger now is growing back now, it's almost 100% back. He did not break any bones, or have any damage at all.
His angel MUST have left the house that morning and waiting for him outside at my truck to save him from a more serious injury.

Wow, I am glad that there was not much damage done to his finger. It's a good thing that his angel was with him. To me it sounds like his angel is with him all the time just in case something happens. You are blessed to have an angel that is with your son at all times. Well I am glad that your son did not suffer from that much pain.

I know some child can see something that the adult cant see. I think it is the matter of spirit of world. I de believe there is a world of spirit that human hardly see it by eyes. I am christian, so i do believe. In spirit world, there is good spirit and evil spirit.

I guess each person believes what they want about it. There are some days that I'm skeptical about it, but when I look at all of the details placed together, I don't come up with any other logical explanations. It's hard to believe in something you can't see or relate too. Anyway, if believing in something like this, makes life a little easier then I'm all for it.

Deep in my heart I do believe in angels. We may not see them with wings , but they could very well be present in each of us.
With regard to your son, I strongly feel that his guardian angel was with him all throughout his stay at the hospital. When you came home, the angel was still present making sure that you are safe home and your son. It feels good that we have angels guiding us. It helps us feel secure that they are just around us seeing us and making sure that we are safe. Be happy for you and your son will be in good hands.

Hey there, guss200...
Thanks for sharing your story and starting this interesting discussion. Glad to read by your posting that your very young son who had such a major operation, especially SO early in his life is doing well. Hope he continues to keep healing and mending. Could never EVEN begin to put myself in your shoes, nor dare to imagine what you & he & others have been going through.
So way cool to read of his "friend". I have heard of & seen stuff on TV about such things, but have no firsthand experience. However, I used to watch Montel Williams on a local channel here where I live & weekly he had Sylvia Browne (sp?), a lovely lady psychic as his guest. Dunno if you've ever heard of her, but quite frequently she used to speak of how lots of children can truly *see* all kinds of peoples & things we "big" folks cannot, perhaps cuz we've closed our minds to them or are not as freely open to their possible existence. She also mentioned whereas, most children grow out of being able to see & openly communicate with them, there are also many others who do not, and even manage to develop a real psychic ability as they become older. *smile*...
Perhaps your son will also be able to continue to communicate with his guardian angel as he grows. But please know that no matter what happens in THAT department, I do so very much hope your little son continues to heal & to mend & become strong & well again.
*hugs*

I would LOVE if he could keep this 'ability'. I'd love if when he gets older, if he could be like a psychic and tell me things about our family that has passed on. I'm always skeptical of psychics, but there are a few that I believe in, like Syliva Brown. Maybe my boy will be like her!

That must have been a very touching experience - I can only imagine! I am happy for you that your son's surgery was a success, and I hope that I also have a guardian angel watching over me too!
Such incidents always tend to make me meditate and reflect on my personal life and spirituality.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

I hope you have an angel too. I hope we all do. Some people think it's crazy to believe, but I do not. I don't think there is any harm in hoping that someone is watching over me keeping me safe.
I have another incident to share too......

How sweet, I'm sure that each of us has somebody watching over us all the time. There have been plenty of unexplained things happen and in the back of our minds we know that it was a higher power that intervened. I'm glad to know your son is doing better.

I'm so happy that my son has a higher power, guardian angel watching over him. Right now, he could use his Angel more that ever. If you check the new discussion I started this morning, you'll see why. He had his tracheostomy removed yesterday and he could use a little help with coping with a new breathing method.
