"how would a Prsident McCain/ President Palin or President Romne have been different or better" The short answer, they wouldn't have. Why do people here continually discuss politics in two dimensions, as if no other parties exist? Ok folks....I am going to say this again....listen carefully...come a little closer...that's it.... The whole FACKING left/right, liberal/conservative, republican/democrat divide is a FACKING LIE...an ILLUSION....stop FALLING FOR IT! For chripe sake folks....WAKE UP! You have been FOOLED, DUPED, SCAMMED! The two parties are no different, one isn't slightly better than the other, there is no such thing as the lesser of two evils. Until this country learns that, no matter which party we keep electing, DUMBocrats or republiCONS, NOTHING is going to change...[b] NOTHING.

Then don't let him limit you. Tell him how you think it would be different if Chuck Baldwin had won.

For one thing, if someone else had won, he would not have put through a very socialist agenda, would not have had Americans pay for abortions overseas, would not have made a minority a privileged class, would not have tried to shut down the coal plants and would not have supported anti-global warming policies such as carbon taxes, etc. when the earth is getting cooler anyway. And he would not have gone and said bad things about America especially to their enemies. And most of all, he would not have expanded the first stimulus package, and lied and said only the rich would pay for it, and then decided that every American was now rich.

We'd have had no stimulus, which some of you will probably say would be a good thing but I disagree. I think without it things would have gotten even worse and people need to be more patient because there's no way something that took years to get screwed up could be "fixed" in a few short months. There would be not push towards true health care reform or energy independence. Annie

Well the single biggest difference would have been that this stimulus garbage would have never happened, nor would we have all these worthless czars and a tax cheat as treasury secretary. To my knowledge NONE of the other candidates, McCain, Palin, Barr, Baldwin, Nader, etc. supported that stimulus garbage in the slightest bit and the only one that supported the bailout besides Obama was McCain. Now I can't definitively say what McCain would have done with the economy only because I know politicians well enough to know that what they say while campaigning is much different than what they do once elected. On foriegn policy I think McCain's words would be much different in that he would give more vocal support to the Iranian people as well as the people in Honduras. He also wouldn't have travelled to other countries to tell them all how terrible and arrogant Americans are. Unlike Obama, he seems to actually have some respect for his fellow Americans. McCain also would have made a genuine attempt to work WITH the opposing party to come up with solutions instead of just saying "Hey, We won" and ramming through an agenda that most Americans do NOT support.

I can't stand MCcain or Romne but hat Obama even worse, but I do think by now a republican congress and prez would have at least gave us a big fat tax cut and put money in our pockets.

Which candidate or non-candidate would you prefer to be president right now?

Palin cause she is outside the washington Loop. Bobby Ghindal ain't a bad dark horse either but since these races are rock star contests now I don't think he'd fair well.
