Is it just me - or are stores starting earlier?

I'm just wondering if it's just me, or my location (Oklahoma) or what - but we're already seeing "Christmas stuff" in Hobby Lobby, and other stores, and have been for about at least 2-3 weeks now!!!
This is ridiculous! Christmas stuff by the end of
June ??? Are the retailers nuts or what?
What about where you live?

I heard a news brief on the radio about two weeks ago, and they said that K-mart (located throughout the U.S.) is putting their Christmas stuff out starting in July, they said it's to get people in the mood. It doesn't get me in the mood for Christmas though. I'm no Ebenezer Scrooge, but I think July is WAY too early.

I agree with you clutterbug. But the stuff was out here at the END OF JUNE for crying out loud!!
I don't even want Christmas to to come this year - or Thanksgiving either - because I just lost my husband April 30, and the holidays will be so lonely and sad for me this year.
I may just look into go to the annual dinner for the poor here, and sign up to help serve.

I'm so sorry about your loss. Sometimes I think my hubby will go before I do, because he is so sedentary, and he drinks too much soda. I quit nagging him about it though, it's no use. Both my mom and dad have passed on, so for me Thanksgiving and Christmas just aren't the same. You have a great week also! :O)

well, its only normal to see christmas stuff in craft stores because a lot of people start making christmas presents or crafts for christmas bazaars so they have to start early! other than michaels, i havent seen much christmas stuff yet, mostly halloweem.
