When a movie changes your ability to listen to the song

Now, I love music but there are some kinds which I would not choose to listen to. For example songs that are toooo loud like Evanascence and Aerosmith are 2 that I can illustrate clearer. Yet when I saw movies where their songs were sung and held meaning to, I grew to love them. Does this happen for you too? That the relation to the song means more than the singer or the song in itself?
