skirts in churches.

i was attending the language course yesterday, and we were discussing about the REASONS why MINI SKIRTS are not allowed( i mean, its implied that short skirts are not allowed u know) in churches (mostly catholic churches). so our teacher began asking each of us of our reactions. she never got to me coz i was at the back and it was about time to dismiss the class. hahaha... well anyway, my belief is that MAYBE, since the NUNS are like the epitome of holiness on earth, may be that is why the people think that you should like them if you wanna be saved. for me, definitely its crap. i wanna wear skirts and shorts (with righteousness), its not even written the bible that its prohibited.... OK OK, i know some of you may say that it would be a TEMPTATION for the boys seeing girls in skirts, but i think we should see it on a different light. gurls on skirts shuld even be considered as a TEST to their FAITH and concentration on the word of God while the mass goes on. correct???? well, i wanna know your reactions for those who wear skirts inside churches. ARE YOU COMFORTABLE WITH WEARING SKIRTS IN CHURCHES or are YOU AGAINST IT?? and WHY ARE SKIRTS ALMOST PROHIBITED INSIDE GOD`S HOUSE??

When I was a kid going to church, my church didn't allow short skirts and strongly discouraged women from wearing pants or shorts. They say that it's because the Bible teaches modesty. The Bible does teach modesty, but it isn't all that specific about physical modesty. I think it's mostly because the traditional church wants to uphold the whole male superiority thing, and one way to do that is to control women. Telling them what they can and can't wear not only controls their wardrobe choices, it also represses their sexuality. I think it's totally bogus.
