Is football really made up of Pig Skin?

Hi All,
We play football as usual for fun and country. But i have heard that the football covering is made from the skins of pigs. Is it so than it is very unfortunate to hear this. Even pig are living being we should not insult them.

I have never heard or read somewhere except here in your discussion that football made up of pig skin! I do not think it is true because as per my knowledge it is made up of such materials called rubber, fiber or leather.

hmm did you hear this from news??? or a person cuz if its a person is prob a rummor ( no offence) but i always beleved its was a rubber matterial ( i think it is) i play foot ball still today i would stop if i found that out _ but anyways see yah
