When my sister was 17yrs old she was pregnant. My mother had absolutely no idea. Could you imagine what that was like.? To make matters worst everyone else knew. Even our moms husband knew. My sister didnt buy anything ahead of time to be prepared. She didnt take prenatil vitamins either. The whole time all she wore was huge hoodys and baggy jeans it was ridiculous! I didn't know until 4 months. Finally 9 months later my mother found out when she had to rush her to the hospital because her water broke on the couch during full house. Crazy Huh?

That is crazy. I don't think I could have fooled my mother. I was 17 when I got pregnant and had my son at 18. I found out Christmas Eve, and told my mother at midnight mass before mass was going to start. I knew I was safe at church. :)

I think doing it at the church was teh best idea. I dont know how she fooled her but she did. I could never do that to our mom. Plus you have to tell everyone so you can have an awesome baby shower and get great gifts.lol

how could the mother not see an ever growing abdomen? omg, that's insane. I know my mom would kill me if she was to find out i was pregnant, even now when i'm 23 and leave with my boyfriend i know she'd kill me, but i trust her. my mother is the one i would go to with every problem i have, even pregnancy. because surely at first she would have a desire to take a machete and kill my boyfriend (as soon as my boyfriend met my mom he knew one day she will kill him with a machete, she doesn't even own one and never held one in her hands or had a desire to, but he just sees her with a machete in her hands standing by his bed when he wakes up lol.) once first emotions are gone though, i know she would do the best for me. I honestly don't understand why and how your sister was able to hide pregnancy...

Its actually funny because one time during the pregnancy my mom told my sister she looked pregnant and my sister just said well thats not very nice and laughed it off. I think our mom trusted my sister a lot and wouldnt think she would hide something like this.

My second son has spina bifida. During the early stages of my third pregnancy I didn't tell anyone that I was pregnant. I had to announce it when my bump became visible. I guess a teenager can hide the weight gain more than a lady in her thirties.

It must have been difficult for your sister to hid her pregnancy. She was hiding her bump under baggy clothes because she found it impossible to tell your mum. It was sad that she didn't take prenatal vitamin pills. I wonder why your mum's husband didn't get her to take the supplements to help the baby. Your sister didn't want to boy anything for the baby whilst pregnant because your mum might have found it. You found out at 16 weeks but had to keep your sister's pregnancy a secret. It must have been shocking for your mum when your sister's waters broke on the couch. I hope that your sister and her baby are fine now. I also hope that your mum isn't annoyed she wasn't told about the pregnancy.

I can't imagine that! It's ridiculous!!And the most ridiculou thing is how your sister can be so quiet about the fact she was pregnant? She must know there is a baby inside her body. But she didn't tell anything about this with her parents. Why?I don't understand. If I was pregnant when I was 17, I must be very fidget. The first thing I will do must ask my parents for help.

I think she did it because she was scared our mom would kick her out or tell her to give it up for adoption etc. I think she just was so worried of what our mom would say. Im not really sure cuz I think the first thing I would do would be to tell my parents

I fostered a baby like that about 24 years ago in Oklahoma. This young girl was pregnant, and the way she told her mother was something like, "Mom, I'm pregnant, I'm in labor, and I need to go to the hospital."
The baby was only supposed to be in my home a very short time, but the baby's father balked at relinquishing, then the baby had some health problems, and he was almost seven months old before the state could put him in an adoptive home. I would have loved to have kept him myself, but back then, foster parents couldn't adopt.

It was really nice of you to foster that child and I am sorry that you couldnt keep the baby. Im glad our mother was their for my sister after she told her but you could tell she was upset though
