At least 1 to 2 times a day, I am contacted by someone asking me to join this awesome site and help them get the referral. After which I can then cancel. Do these people realize the hassels and inconvenience. I am expectied to give my information for someone I dont even know to get paid or benefits. I could give false info but then I'd have to create another email account and so on and so forth. Why would I want to put myself into that position? realize I may be a little crazy but come on.....Isnt it against the rules to advertise another site or for people to try and solicit others. Especially when they have made it public that they dont want it. I am going to change the phrase above my name. It will say No soliciting or Else! Who else has this happened to? Lets do something about it. Are you willing to start a harmless campaign to stop them? All you have to do is change your message or add a message stating"No soliciting or else! Share you story....dl PS: NO SOLICITING OR ELSE! If your asking or else what, it will be reported. I am tired of wasting the time of great people here at MyLot who have interesting discussions or may be in the need of some advice that could help them.!!!!DONT ASK because the answer is HE**NO!

What yet another discussion about this? It must be even worse than it was before! I have found another way that should deter these spammers and I started a discussion about it last week. I will now go and bump it up Those who are spamming can also be reported to the sites that they are promoting and they will lose their accounts there as all the sites now have a 'zero tolerance' spam policy. Maybe this could be a warning to deter them from doing it hopefully.

I was talking to a fellow myLotter and he was talking about it. No sooner do I check my private messages and guess what there was? Someone sent me a private message wanting me to join their site. I am sorry if the subject is getting repetitive. I just wanted to let people know. I didnt have any idea you started a discussion prior to this. THanks for taking the time to respond just the same. dl

It is not 'getting' repetitive as I think it is one topic that has always been around on here ever since I can remember. Your topic is a completly different angle from the one I started so that's fine! Thank you for your FR which I have accepted

She has this discussion at: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2065070.aspx Maybe people will see that idea, & will be more hesitant in doing so, because they'd probably get banned from the site they tried to recruit you as a referral in.

I barely can keep up with myLot muchless any other. If I was sure that I would make money it would be one thing. No one does it like myLot. In my opinion. I admire you in the fact that you have joined other sites. Do you really make money? I am just wondering how you found out about them? What is your favorite? Good Luck on all of them. Happy MyLotting. dl

Personally it is annoying when people are soliciting their programs and such. I know that especially after I accept someone as a Friend and they have nothing better to do than hit me with a message trying to get me as a referral, I delete them. Personally there are things I have found and do that help me earn a little extra online, and offline, but unless someone else really shows an interest or asks for more information I keep it to myself as well.

I get these ever so often also. I do not have the time to join any more sites either. I am booked up actually online daily. I do not want to join anymore either unless I ask to join it.

It is so irritating when I think I am answering a message from one of you guys and I get some request to help someone make a buck. I dont know how you do it going from site to site. Dont you get tired. How do you divide your time between sites. dl

they've been told a million times, they keep doing it. all you can do is complain, and usually mylot will ban them if they spam too many people.

Another idea is: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2065070.aspx If you follow that route, they'll have nothing left to spam because they'd be banned by the site they were spamming. I'm also two responses above you where I spammed them back. Unfortunately, some of them are no longer here to say "Ouch! I fell for it."

It's where you go to cancel your mylot account, so I guess you can call it an automatic ban.

We can say "no soliciting" but I doubt they'll listen. They don't listen when we put signs on our mailboxes that say "no flyers" either. :( But it Is worth a shot. Some people might see that and decide not to do it, so it is worth a try. I don't even look at private messages on MyLot anymore, because "friends" fill my in-box full of invites to all these damn sites. I will join ones that people I know reccomend, but not some random person I just hooked up with on the net, and have not had the chance to get to know.

oh man this annoys me so very much too. i mean many things annoy me on any given day, but with regard to mylot i would have to say people who solicit me, this annoys me a lot. and those who make friends with me so that they can introduce me to some scheme or another, folks i am not interested in doing any of this. make friends with me me because you want to, not because i may be a cash cow. having said that, anyone who upon me adding them as a friend solicits me shall be deleted from my friends list.
