Gautam Gambhir has become the first India batsman in over last four years to head the batting rankings of the Reliance Mobile ICC Player Rankings for Test batsmen. What a great achievement this is for him and now is for sure that he would be getting inspiration from this and hope he would carry on with his good work. Both the test and ODI batting rankings are now headed by India batsman. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is at the number one position in the ODI rankings followed by another Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh. I think this is the built up for a new face and recognition to the Indian team!!

Oh I also admire this status for Gautam Gambhir.Being the most wilder fan of Indian cricket team ,this is indeed a special news for me.But still what i feel that no. 1 test batsmen should have been held by Andrew Strauss of england only due to the virtue of his application and determination to win matches for hisside.you can see his resolve in foregoing Ashes series.Hope you have a good time

Well, if you see Andrew Strauss has not been that consistent over the past year but Gambhir has been performing well even at home turf as well as foreign arenas. Andrew Strauss is also a great player and has nice batting technique and also has played some rally great innings for England in the 2005 Ashes series. But when it comes to the current performances, Gambhir has looked more formidable than him. Anyways, Thanks for the Response n Happy Mylotting!!

He has been surperb since he made the cut into the team around this time last year. He has dominated teams in all parts of the world. He is a very good player and will achieve a lot more before he retires. The good thing about him is that he is flexible. He is an opener, but he can bat anywhere in the line up. He can also play spin very well right from ball one, which is very rare for an opener.

The way Gambhir has transformed his game and been a consistent performer for India in Test matches has now made him a world-class player and I think he really deserves the credit for it. Thanks for the Response and Happy Mylotting!!
