Hey everyone, I'm looking to get a new car, so I'm asking anyone to name off a couple of good cars, trucks, etc. I'm looking for something with a sleak body design, power under the hood, good on gas, and great milage. ANY IDEAS??????? I would love to hear your ideas of what a good car is. Thank you.

I have always had good luck with Buicks. Their 3.8 L engine is one of the best engines that GM ever made. If you are looking for something that will last a long time, I suggest seeking a Buick with this engine. You may be able to find one of the last Buick Regals that were made. If so, you are in luck. It's a little sporty, plus roomy and good on gas. Good luck to you in seeking out that car that satisfies your taste!

It also depends on whether you want it in short term or long term. As abenitez said, now would be a great time to get a bargain out of US brands so it'll certainly be the top choice in short term. Although, imports may turn out better in long term for it's fuel efficiency, reliability, and possibility of offset on some sort of carbon tax in the future.

Right now you would probably be better off purchasing an American car. With all the economic problems that those companies are having the cars will be cheaper than imports. Chevy Impalas are nice cars and they are pretty good on gas as well. They are also cheaper than a Toyota Camry. Dodge Chargers and Avengers are nice also. You can also look into Ford Fusions. All these are very nice looking cars and since the American car industry is struggling so much you might be able to get a very good deal. Good luck with your purchase and I hope this helps.
