I am onje who really hate math when i were in school, and i learn, because i were ambitious, but i learn because i must to learn, not because i like.
I learn with pleasure to literature, history, chemistry, biology, languaces....but never to math.
After years, i am sure that i use math a lot in my life, every day.
I am just courious, how you use math every day in your life?
Why you need math?

This question has already been asked, but anyway... we all use math in a lot of different ways... everyday!! We deal with money most days... do you cook? If you cook anything there is tons of math and measuring during cooking.. and yes, measureing is math! So is estimating, deciding when to leave and how long it will take you to get ready=problem solving! Tons and tons of math eeryday!!!

math is in music, art, literature. Assembly line workers and CEOs use math. One to accurately, efficientyl and effectively assemble goods, the other to manage their company. I use math in my digital arts, because math helps describe what forms aret he most appealing to the eye

Dear friend,
I could see each day every human being will use maths, as the time itself is connected to maths each second, each mini seconds so on. Without maths there might not be any calculations, it may be a world without brain. Still I wonder who really put this idea of maths.

Maths is everwhere. You need a basic maths for your day today life. You need not be a maths expert, though. It is enough if you know simple calculations that involve in every day life.

Math is everywhere and is needed everywhere. In my life i calculate a lot of things using math.Time we usually monitor is a math, accounts we maintain for daily spent and gained money, even i count how long i sleep, how much calories i had, everything include math.So without math nothing can be innovated.
Thanks for the discussion!!!

Hello,
I found it is strange. when someone love to read then they never like math. I love math but I hate history... too much work to do in there... but math is just a number and it comes out exactly what they need. I deal with number everyday and I enjoy it so much

I work in the inventory control department. I am in a management position but I still work numbers everyday. I cycle count parts, I documeant when they don't add up with what the computer says we have. I keep records of how many parts I pull and must count the parts left to make sure they add up with the computer. I countdown model changes. We are scheduled to build a certain amount and it is up to me to make sure we don't build anymore than requested due to the fact it might short us parts for another model. Numbers are a huge part if my job.

we do use math in our everyday-every minute move, whether outdoors or in the house. we count the chores we do in the house, the number of clothes that needs to be washed, the amount of grocery that needs to be bought, etc. we just dont mind it at times, not realizing we are doing math. ann

I use math almost everyday in the weight room. I train people to become strong as possible and the best way I've found to do that is by using percentages of their one repetition maximum in a certain lift, say the bench press for example. I will have them do sets with 75% 80% 85% and sometimes 90-100%. I need math for this reason, if I didn't have this percentage system I wouldn't be a competitive powerlifter today and I wouldn't be as good at training people to become strong.

Today I am trying to figure out a travel budget for next month. I want to take a bus trip to Ohio. I need to figure out a bus ticket, spending money, lodging won't be a problem, because I'll stay with a friend. Also, I need to figure out money for the rest of the month, food, entertainment, all kinds of stuff. I don't like doing math for "no reason" (math questions in school I could not relate to) but when I'm doing math that I can apply to my everyday life, I am fine with it.

I have to use math every day in my work place. I work in a section which does business evaluations, using the economic models, which is all math in one way or the other. Math is part of my work, I should say.

It is always good to know math, even if you do not go into a field that requires it. I use math a lot when calculating times and dates, as well as calculating how much longer until I reach the myLot payout that I want!
Then again, I'm more of a math guy than anything else, and math is my strength, so my view towards math might differ from others. But I enjoy having the math background that I have, because it allows me to solve certain complex math problems that I use every once in a blue moon!

To be honest I hated math, right since my school days and i still hate it, specially algebra and geometry kind of things.......it really used to send shivers down my spine when I had to appear for my maths exams......
but somewhere I realized that maths is really important and that you cant really pass by it......and since I didn't really pay attention to it in school days I am really bad with numbers now and find difficulty in doing mental maths.
It helps us in so many ways like purchasing some things, or estimating a budget or calculation on how to save some money and utilize it effectively, etc......it is also know to sharpen your memory !!!!
So all in all though it can be boring or difficult I feel one cant escape math in day to day life......
have a nice day !!!!

even the simplest thing that we are doing uses math, the best math example is, counting your fare when you are riding on a bus, its math..i love math, although the math that is being taught to us in school is very much complicated than the math that we are to dealt in reality..its really amazing that we are able to count though when we are young still we dont know what really is it all about..math is intereseting if we shoul love it and give time to understand it..
