Do you ever start a discussion, wait for replies and check what people said?
Do you ever get responses to discussions that have say something like "sorry, I've never seen/done this before..." and go on to say somthing that has absolutely nothing to do with what you discussed?
These kind of relies drive me crazy! xD
But I never report them or anything- I don't like being a tattle-tale.

Hi megumiart,
I have 1 before. He/she give me 1 simple response "Wow". Its make me laugh for a while. I go to check his other responses any almost every response he/she give is in 1 or 2 words. I can't believe that we have this type of member in mylot. I don't really know what they are looking for here.

I take it all in stride, most of us are not professional writers. We do the best that we can with the abilities we possess. I try not to be judgmental but rather encouraging. Substance is far more important that semantics.

I think there are many reasons for people being here, but what you're saying, yes it does drive you nuts. I do think some of these strange answers do come from language gap, but the never understood why a person would respond to anything they never had any expereience with to begin with.

I have not had that happen to me yet when I have started a discussion... I have asked a question about the typic if I do not know anything about it, because I would like to know more.. but I would find it rather rude to give the i dont know answer..

So far I have not seen one and I hope I have not done it either. I think it would be a waste of time to be writing a response that has nothing to do with the discussion and is also a waste of time to read something like it. If we don't have the right answer I think we should not post a coment about something that has nothing to do with it just to get points. But it is ok to post a coment about what you think about the discussion even if you don't know the right answer.

Even i too get some weird responses in some of my discussions, which has nothing to do with what i had stated. But its ok, i just neglect that response, and donot comment back.. That's it..
You know, its not me , but that person itself who is wasting his time here, and only he will be in loss consequently..., So be cool..

yeah reporting them would be really mean and sad. cause you know at least they tried they really didn't have to. and i've never got anything like that, that i know of. or maybe i just didn't realize it because i get off subject alot as well, talk too much. and well i'm sorry that it bugs you. it wouldn't bug me. maybe they just don't want to give you a one word or a few sentence reply thats what makes me a little upset. i wrote alot then you come back with this. well happy mylotting.

No, I have so far not received any unintelligible responds from anyone. It is really very disgusting to receive such kind of responses.

sad but some are like that, just because they have not experience that, they will respond you off topic..its really annoying..but of course, we should not interfere, its there response, if they are off topic (out of topic), then be it..just give them a thank you, because although their response are not related to your topic, still they bother responding to it..

I don't start many discussions so I haven't had that problem......yet. However, I have noticed that people do say things that have nothing to do with the discussion. Yesterday I saw someone had posted a referall link in response to every post in one single discussion.
I've also noticed that people don't read what you've said very carefully and will go on and on about something you already mentioned or say you did or whatever.
