Im so confused now. I don't know where to start, what im going to do. I am looking for someone who can advice me.
Few months ago, My application in BPS ( British Psychological Society) wasn't successfull.
My Degree that i've earned in Philippines hasn't been recognized here (but of course it's considered equivalent to a British Bachelor's degree by UK NARIC) I need to take qualifying examinations or undertake a society accredited conversion course, which can cost me a fortune.
Anywhere you look for a job, they are looking for qualifications, GSCE's, A-Level or NVQ. Flippin' heck! I don't know what to choose, specially, financially we are so tight now. So, i badly really need your advice. Where to start first? Do i need to continue that flippin' course conversion? Or take GSCEs and A level courses or vocational in ICS Learn Home Study?
Thanks alot.
Happy myloting.

I guess, it's either u undertake a conversion course or u retake the whole course again.. IN terms of money spent, i believe conversion should be much cheaper right?? PLus, time is crucial for u as well..
Either way u choose, u are bound to spend some money.. So i think it's better to choose one that does not take up too much time, because money can be earned again, but time wasted can never be returned ^_^

I would sure hope that you find some real, practical advice on your problem. Asking them here might be good for discussions and who know, you might stumble upon someone who has answers. Be positive and the answers will come to you.

I see you are a very ambitious lady. I am finish as far as studies and careers are concerned. I have attained a certain level of education and have worked for few years just to satisfy the field that I took. That part of my life was well utilized and am now in another phase of doing things that I love doing. A self employed person running my own business with no peers and subordinates to worry. I made my choice and glad that it gave me a satisfaction in life. In your case, since you are in a foreign land and your qualifications is not recognize by them I think you take what ever job available while working towards getting the local qualifications by what ever means. Get yourself acclimatized to the local working environment before attempting to break into your specialized field. It is good to spread your wings and know more people and sometimes it is who you know that can help you in your dreams. Don't spend a fortune to get your papers recognized and in the end be frustrated for not getting the job you so wished. In times like this where there are more graduates then jobs available they help their people first before others.

Hi, rainmark
I have to say I am familiar with some of the examinations you mentioned.
But generally I understand your place. Sometimes they still need you to get a certificate even if you have already had a equivalent one.
My suggestion is for you to stick to your choice for the application and attend related course to get required certifate or pass required examinations.
At least, after these things done, no matter your application succeed or not, you have made yourself stronger, right?
I resigned my job last month to improve my ability in my field now.
It's a big challenge for myselt and I think I can take care of it well.
So keep everything going, to face it and keep holding your original determination.
Wish everything will be fluent to you.
