I was reading an interesting article recently about asparagus. It has many medicinal values, and one of the ailments it prevents and cures is cancer. Many proofs were cited there. Asparagus is certainly a health food. Really amazing ! Do you know about any other kinds of food which has health values ? Please share your knowledge about them.

Isn't it incredible that natural things the Lord has made are helpful in curing or preventing so many diseases? A site that I get periodic e-mails from says that people who eat salads are less likely to get cancer and they help prevent bone loss. Salmon is also helpful in retaining memory as we get older, as are black beans. And there is some kind of specific cherry that helps prevent heart disease, but for the life of me I can't remember which type. Thanks for the asparagus tip!

I haven't heard that about asparagus before but a friend of my family had been told they only had a short time to live as he had cancer, someone told him to practically live on freshly made juice of carrot,beetroot,celery and ginger which he had quite a few drinks of this a day and over 10 years later he is still alive....

I actually have a book that lists fruits, vegetables and nuts and the health benefits of each. I don't recall of them! However, there are health benefits in almost everything! The thing is how much of each doyou need to actually be of great benefit? I know for one thing, I drink Ginger tea to help with arthritis! It seems to be working too!

I had no idea that asparagus was that good for you! I love it, but I never buy it. If it prevents cancer, I am going to have to start eating a lot more of it!

I read some websites or books about food which has health values.So in my daily life, I try to make my meal more nutritious.Maybe after a day's work, most people ignore that.
I heard that if you catch a light cold, you can buy a can of coke and add some ginger in it,the ginger should be cut into threads, then boil it for several minutes. As long as your mouth can endure the temperature, drink it as hot as possible. Do you heard it before?
