They say Prayers can move mountains, in times where you have no one to turn to but cling to your faith, the shortest prayer I can do is uttering the word "God". It can be an expression but by saying it sincerely and with conviction, this can be tantamount to long phrases of prayers. Most of the time am answered prayer, God listen and understand. What's your thought on this, friends?

i am not a religious person but my most favorite prayer that i ever heard was being said by a sniper be not far from me for trouble is near haste thee to help me blessed be the lord my strength that teacheth my hands to war and fingers to fight my goodness and my fortress my high tower and my deliverer my sheild and he in whom i trust who subdueth my people under me oh my god i trust in thee let me not be afraid let not my enemies triumph over me.

Hi bing, You are right in that even people of little faith turn to God in times of crisis and even that one word is often enough. To me desire is prayer as our every thought is known to the Divine mind. In fact surely our whole life itself is a prayer. Blessings.

You can always call on the name of Jesus when ever you are in a trying time. The Word of God clearly says that Jesus interceeds on our behalf. I know that there are times when I am so bogged down by my circumstances that I just feel like I dont have a prayer to pray, and it is in those times I just find a place of peace by calling on the name of Jesus. You can also just cry out Jehova Shilo which means prince of peace, and know that the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts.

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and you could pray, "Please God protect me in my crisis, in the name of Jesus, Amen." I hope that helps. The Holy Spirit makes intercessions for us when we are too heavy of heart, and God hears our hearts.
