I have read somewhere that keeping cells under your pillow i.e near you head is bad. As cells are sending microwave signals out to the nearest cell phone tower keeping it near you can double the risk of brain tumor. It also weakens your immune system. So its advisable that you don't keep it near.
Well i use to keep it under the pillow but after reading this i have started to keep it on the table near me.
So guys if you have this habit its better that you don't take risk.

Both the house phone and the cell phone stay out in the kitchen.. I do not like to be bothered while I am sleeping.. Once and a great while my sister or my mother will call me in the middle of the night drunker then a skunk and I would rather sleep then listen to their nonsense!

The only time I will pick up the phone or even go get the phone is when my 3 year old is at his dad's house.. Because well you never know what could be happening.. and I pray to GOD that I never get that kind of call..

I keep it on the night stand next to my bed while I sleep. I wonder if that is too close to me? During the day I carry my cell phone in my pocket in my shorts or pants. I wonder if that is bad too??
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

When I was using a cellphone, I always keep it on a shelf on the wall, when I sleep, a bit away from my bed. Yes, I agree with you about the bad effects of keeping too close to oneself.

Hi suj123,
I always put my cellphone near to me whenever I went to bed. Not under the pillow but close enough to me. I Know that cellphone have this microwave and it is danger to our health. But beside I might not hear any call if I put it too far, I also use my cellphone as my alarm clock. I prefer to put it on the table beside my bed.
Happy mylotting and have a nice day.

I have read this before on some articles but, even before, I have not been keeping my phone close whenever I sleep. I just leave it at the table at our living room or have it charged on our other table. I seldom keep it close but, not as close as putting it underneath my pillow while I sleep.

My cell phone is near my bed but not in my bed. It sits charging on the nightstand next to my bed. I do not have a home phone/land line so I like to keep my phone with me at night so I won't miss a call if it is an emergency. Now that you mentioned all this about the microwave signals maybe I will still keep the phones charging upstairs in the bedroom at night but maybe not so close to my bed.

Hi there, ive learned from you i know cellphone can harm our health but i dont know what kind of sick we can get from cellphone. Anyway, sometimes i put my cellphone under my pillow but many times i put in in the window so i can get it easily if i needed it. But there are days also that i really dont know where i put it. I am too lazy sometimes to put cellphones in proper place. Anyway, goodluck to all your doings and happy mylotting.

I place my cellphone beside me... also on the bed... My phone is attached to me...I use it as an alarm...Right after I wake up, that is the one that I see first.

Yes, you are right...But, its really easy to do that but hard to do....My cellphone already became part of me....I can forget everything but not my phone.

when i am going to sleep, i usually put my cellphone above my head..seldom, i keep them in my closet..but after you said that i can cause brain tumor placing your cellphones near you head, then i guess, i should keep my cellphone in my closet, whenever im going to bed, to avoid such..thanks..

Thank you for the heads up! I was wary when I read this because I usually kept my cellular phone under my pillow or sometimes on the bed side table. Have you read the article about this online? Do you still have the link? I want to share this with my friends so that they can take care of their health.

I have a upper desk above my bed, so i leave my cell phone there. I heard the same saying too. Keep your cell phone away from you when you are asleep, or it will affect your brain or something. I am not sure if that is true, but better safe than sorry, right?

I actually sleep with my cell phone in my purse by my bed. That way I always know where it is and if goes off I can answer it right away. I can't imagine going anywhere without my cell phone. I would be lost without it. I know that for a fact.
