NASA says Apollo 11 video footage was lost?

The Apollo 11 moon landing last 1969 was big, big breakthrough. How can there be news telling that NASA didn't keep a video footage at all of the landing. There are even interviews to the caretaker of the videos that they reused the original video to record newer events in NASA due to the shortage of the film. Hey, this is history we're talking about? How could NASA have such an archive with mickey mouse on the tapes? lols! I dunno, but what did happen to the 'one small step for man' history of mankind?
