sounds familiar? a few years back i watched this romantic love story. i can't quite remember the title but the character there asked, "DO YOU LOVE ME BECAUSE YOU NEED ME?" or "DO YOU NEED ME BECAUSE YOU LOVE ME?" they sound similar right? but not entirely. if you were given a choice between the two, which would you choose? a) would you rather have someone who loves you because you are necessary to him/her? or; b) would you rather have someone needing you, because that someone really loves you? CHOOSE WISELY! :-)

I would choose, I need you because I love you. The reason why is because that person wants you to be apart of their life, they can still be an individual and still have a desire for you. The line I love you because I need you seems like they are dependant on you and would only love you once you are giving to them.

Immature love says: ''I love you because I need you.'' Mature love says: ''I need you because I love you.''

It is great to say "i need you because i love you" rather than "i love u because i need you" so my choice is (b).

In my own opinion it is really different my friend' " do you love me becoz u need me"...the sentence itself speaks alone...that person only loves you becoz he/she needs you.so,if he/she doesn't feel the need of you?what's next?...what do you think would be the next then ? "do you need me becoz u love me "....this means,he/she can't live without you.for he/she needs you in his/her life . so,i would go with the second phase =)

I personally think it's a fine line between the two, but I prefer the second one as well. They may sound similar and can be interpreted in so many ways that it may be confusing. To love from need makes it sound almost like you didn't have a choice, but to need because love means that love started it all. What if they didn't need you anymore all of a sudden or something? Does that mean they don't love you anymore either? It makes me think of a lot of relationships these days where single mothers (and others) are only marrying someone or with someone who can help them support their children or financial needs. They NEED that person, and are therefore forced to lie to themselves and everyone else saying they love them. Or at least... That's how I see it.

for me, they are the same but different on ones perception.. i loved you because i need you - you wont certainly love a person if you dont feel the need(sometimes "want") for him/her. i need you because i loved you - you dont need someone if s/he is not important to you..why would you bother needing him/her if you dont love him/her, it would be a waste of time.. You can love a person even if you knew that s/he doesnt need you at all but for me you can never feel that need for that person if s/he meant nothing to you..

I think I would rather have someone need me because they love me rather than the other way around! If they only love me because they need me or my resources if they no longer need me will they discontinue loving me?
