I have studied a little numerology and I was wondering what others thought about it. Do you believe that we can predict things about our future with numbers? Or understand things about ourselves and others with numbers? I have found some really creepy things out concerning some of my family members using numerology. What is your take on it?

I am interested too in numerology as numerologist believe that even your names have equivalent number, the date of your birth, month and some days have effects on your life. I try to count all the names of my family and the results is somehow related to the character of the person but somehow all is coincidence. Their is so called lucky day, bad day and your favorite number to maintain in case you bet on lottery. Even the choose of the stairs, the number of doors and even the choose of your partner as others says can be predicted or at least you can give an idea by just looking on numbers. But, it is not necessary to generally believe on this kind of stuff, just a fun things to try and observe whether it is really true or simply a hoax!

I respect your learning because me too, love to test the numerology system effectiveness. As a proof, I have uploaded one similar discussion about; NUMEROLOGY KEY WORDS - Meaning of the Numbers in a Nutshell http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1257751.aspx I do believe it as self-practice to liquidate my negative traits and at the same time solidified my positive traits. It worked very well for me, proven the nature supports my life.

I think a lot of numerology has just enough coincidence to convince people that it's valid. A lot of people have made a lot of money from it. In most instances, if someone is making money from something it's a fake. Numerology is fun, though. It's interesting to see the coincidences and almost convincing.

I'm actually one of those who believe in numerology. I have always loved working with numbers and ran across my first numerology book back when I was a teen. I do however take into consideration that it does not hit the nail on the head with every word and that it is to help us understand what is coming at times so we can change it if we don't want certain things to happen.

Hello friend, I do not know how numerology works but I have seen it work for a few people. The former captain of the Indian Cricket Team,Rahul Dravid's example is the one I remember the most. He was struggling for a place in the side and after he changed his shirt number, he became the captain in no time! I am sure it works but the thing is the person you consult should be really qualified. There are a lot of fakers there.
