I ate one during our jungle survival training. The thing definitely taste like chicken. hahahah. The secret in eating is is not to cook it, let it warm up a little and eat it. That would definitely tingle your senses and tells you that your eating snake. The best way to eat it is straight from the grill or fire. You butcher the snake, skin it and clean it. cook it in some open fire. Then pick it up straight from the fire and eat it. just like roasting marshmallows and then eat it. that way you can't tell its a snake but rather freshly grilled barbecue chicken.

I've eaten snake before, yes! It was back in Australia and of all things it was one that we found in our tent when camping on an island off the Wesy Australian Coast. It was a very aggressive snake and wouldn't leave no matter how hard we tried to shoo it away, so we had no choice but to kill it. This was a very long time ago though and I do wish we hadn't of killed it now that I look back on the moment. (It was maybe 20 years ago?) I ended up getting curious, so cooked it on the campfire and we ate it. And shock, horror, it DOES kinda taste like chicken! lol.

I'm not 100% sure what type of snake it was to be honest, but I think it was a Brown Snake. The poison glands are in the head, so as long as the head is removed, it's usually perfectly safe from that point. There's lot's of bones too! lol.

I would probably not eat it at all. I'm already good with what I am familiar with. Unless I wouldn't be aware of what I was eating, I might end up eating one but, being aware of something as a snake, I wouldn't know if I would eat it or not at all.. (^_^")

Hey, you never know when certain situations would come up that would force us to decide to eat it or not eat it at all (^_^")

Hello gamesurfer, I have never eaten and will never ever put that as a menu! Well, I think it is really gross! Recently, I read an article where people can buy the meat and eat the food prepared for them on the spot. If you wish to drink the blood, they will squeeze the blood and put in a glass, add some water and herbs and it is ready for you to drink! The meat will be cut into smaller pieces and grilled right in front of your eyes, and once done...here you go! To read the procedure on how they prepare the food, made me want to vomit. I am sorry if I make you sick by reading this!

As a matter of fact i have, rattle snake, it was very firm white meat and very tasty. We lived in an area where you needed to kill these snakes to keep children and animals safe. So it only seem right to eat what we killed.

I thik the whole snake will be filled iwth poison and how can somebody eat it. I am wondering if I can find out here somebody who has eaten a snake.

Pal, Look above you ! there are lots who have already tasted snakes and they say it tastes like chicken! I guess they remove the poison before cooking a snake and right after they kill it. So it's just a total delicacy.
