Its not something new. We all know that people are judged by the virtue of their grades in their academics.Students with better grades are more or less assumed quite intellectual without realising whether they possess adequate knowledge or not.So everyone out there specially students plz give response to this query

No, I don't think student should only be judged on virtue of their academic grades, because academic grades don't actually show the pupils real potential. Some pupils may not good on academic, but have talent in languages, art so, academic grades fail to see students real potential. Moreover, grades cannot be measure how well the students will perform on the real world, on the job, because it takes more than just great grades to be an excellent on something else, especially in life.

Hi, friend. I strongly disagree to this statement.
Most of the times, we see that students with high grades possess more crammed knowledge as compared to the one with reason, but maybe one of the moderately performing students has higher intellectual knowledge. (Well, some exceptions are always still there).
The reason is that if a person is giving much time to finding out reasons, he/she may not get enough time even to complete the syllabus. There are many other situations.
One of the best examples comes form the life of Albert Einstein. He was good at mathematics (his teacher said "He has learned a bit more maths than me"). But, in other subjects, he was not interested. So, his overall grades were bad. But, as all of know, he formed the most revolutionary theory ever.
Happy Mylotting!!

Not at all grades are a terrible way of assessing your intelligence. First of all, not all students take classes with the same degree of difficulty. The saludatorin (don't know how to spell that ha) at my high school took basically sophmore level classes throughout all of high school except for english. Everything else was basic stuff, while other kids are taking AP classes out the butt and doing ok, but not great.
And most kids just memorize stuff anyways. Homework takes maybe twenty minutes to do usually, so they either don't do it, copy it, or copy it from the book, and then a few classes before their tests they just start memorizing stuff and forget it right away. I mean, I guess the system works about as well as anything else used, but it is still a terrible way of determining if someone is smart or not.
Some people are too specialized as well. They might be really good at science and so make a really good doctor, but be terrible at economics, and so they get a bad GPA. Idk it definitely has its flaws in my opinion.

Simply having good grades will not determine the success of a student. If all they have is 'book learning' they will really not be good for much. I think it is the way a person applies what they learn that matters. I know colleges in the US today are not that interested in GPAs and standardized test scores. They want to see what else the student has achieved. Has he/she used their knowledge to help others? Have they shown initiative? How do they relate to others? All these things are just as important.
