Well, guys Strauss might not be having a great fan following like KP or Flintoff etc but he does delivers! He has been one of good performers for England over the years and in the second test of current Ashes series he scored a valuable and beautiful century.

Yes he has laid a good foundation. It should go like the first one. The first one was real thriller.

Yes, it was a fine one, but nothing great enough to create a thread. Just saying this because, he might deliver once in a decade, but hey, that doesn't suffice. He is so inconsistent, which is a concerning factor for the english. Nevertheless, a well played knock by the skipper, which should boost up the english team, and i hope they win this match. :)

I agree with your other points but I disagree that it wasn't great enough to create a thread. Do you think only those who are having more fans are to be discussed? I have seen a thread where fans just discuss whether there favorite batsman scores a century in next match or not!
Well, What I want to say is what's wrong in creating a thread about a century scored by skipper and helping his team to get a good score?
And as you say, hope England will win the series and give a memorable farewell to Flintoff.
Happy Mylotting!

Yeh he has done very well throughout his test career. He played a very good captains knock in this match. He was under pressure from the media all week, but he has delivered. He also played well the 2005 Ashes series, I think he got 2 hundreds in that tournament. His contribution in this game was vital to England scoring 400 plus. He must be really dissapointed with the way the middle order fell apart. Anyway now his men are in command of the test match, hope thing work out well for them.
