HI. I was looking up one day on the pc,in ways you can treat your swimming pool water. The cost of chemicals like shock and chlorine, algea control, can get expensive. Espically when you have a large pool as I do which is a 18ft by 45ft. I found a couple sites that said you can use household items such as clorex, for the use of chlorine, and shock treatments. Baking Soda you can use to increase Alkalinty, Borax to raise ph up. The sites also said for how much shock or chlorine you use in your pool you would have to double the dose with the household items.Oops sorry clorex, meant to spell it clorox. I am wondering does anyone here on my lots, ever used these products?
