If you could have personally witnessed one event in history, what would you want to have seen? It could be the battle at Waterloo. Or the birth of a great religious leader. Maybe even the birth of the universe...
There's so many things to choose from, I don't think I can choose.

I would have liked to have been at the first performance of Shakespeare's work in London. I'd have been a member of the aristocracy, so I could have asked Shakespeare to come to me and tell me about how he wrote his plays, and where he took his inspiration from. Being a member of the aristocracy, I'd also be pretty learned myself, so I'd be able to participate fully in a discussion on drama. I'd have offered to be his patron, and asked him to write a play especially in my honour. Well, I can dream, can't I? Great topic, thank you.

I think off the top of my head I would like to witness Martin Luther nailing his thesis to the door of the church! He did not know he was starting a revolution! I believe that's where I'd like to go if I had a chance to witness anything from history!

Right now I wish I could have witnessed the birth of President Obama. At least then I could be an eye witness to testify to whether or not he is truly eligible to be President and people will stop all this nonsense talk about special elections and such.
