Do you prefer to do your reading on the internet or from a book?

I think they both work. Certain times you need the internet, you can find alot of good books that have been scanned in just for people to read and enjoy. But sometimes, there's nothing better than lying down to bed and falling asleep to a good book. Lately I've been reading my son's manga books. Those are Japanese comics, you start in the back and read towards the front, from right to left. You can read thru one in about an hour if you stop and look at the artwork. Sometimes, you just need a quick read. So what do you prefer? Reading a book or reading it online?

It all depends on what I am reading. If I'm reading on articles and news, I prefer to read them online rather than magazines or newspapers. Just find them more interesting reading online. However I prefer to novels from a book because it's on leisure purpose. As I read, I can laze around on the sofa with a cup of tea/coffee and with the music on......relax time.

well what kind of reading are you refering to? I love reading from books personally since it is more portable than a computer. plus you dont get health risks from reading from a book unlike from the internet. However, researching etc is normally a lot more efficient from the internet.

Hey, Well I actually prefer to read from the Internet rather than a book, but it doesn't really matter for me actually. I wouldn't really mind to read some interesting things from a book, rather than be blind from the Computer screen. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

If the information is published and available as a book, I would much prefer the hard copy form. Reading on internet is too challenging to my eyes. I would reserve the maximum reasonable time for other activities online. And for novels, reading a book gives me the material feel and emotional pleasure, which relate me the my earlier years when I wandered in novels of different nations, as if travelling through time and space. It is really a pity that our younger generation is missing such a great pleasure of mankind.

well, i would prefer reading a book anytime to reading on the internet. i think it is far more comfortable reading a book on the bed in a posture convenient to you. while on the computer,it stresses your eyes as well as the posture you need to have o be able to read. It is difficult to read for longer time on the net.

It depends what type of information or stuff I want to read. If it's a fictional books e.g. twilight, Ingo then I prefer to read from an actual book because you can read it anywhere any time and could fit in your bag. However, you can do the same with internet too because it's much cheaper, free and it's easy to find it online, like the manga book. :D, but I don't think you can have internet with you wherever you go =P

I prefer reading a book, it is easier. I find that my eye hurt if I try and read large bodies of text online for a prolonged period of time. Whereas I can sit and read a book for hours.

I definately prefer reading a book rather than reading it online. This is because a book can be easily carried from place to place and it is much easier on the eye. Though with the advent of LCD monitors, reading an online book is much easier on the eye as compared to the earlier monitors. But, still the charm of a phyical book is different.

You are absoultely correct that you can find alot of good books through internet, even i can say that, when hard copy books are not available in the market, then you enjoy the reading through surfing it in the net. but eyes get strain when ur reading books through computer than a hardcopy.

Hi, ya i agree with you that reading books are both fine whether to read in books or read it online. However, if there is a choice, i would prefer to read books. Reading books online will get our eyes tired after sometime and require rest. The radiation and side effect of staring at the computer screen, i believe most of us also know about it. On the other hand, we will have have this problem if we read it in the book. Besides, we can just enjoy reading it in the way we like, whether to lye on bed to read, or just sit on a table and read. However, reading online is just good that we do not have to buy the book, and we can read it free, provided it's available online of course. Some books are hard to find and are expensive. So, there's the time where we can easily get to enjoy it through online.

for me, reading on the internet = getting distracted... i always want to do some other things online like mylot or something... i have to restrain myself AWAY from the computer before I can actually read, because Im sooooo dependent on the computer and addicted to playing games, etc. quick reads and news reads i prefer the internet, so i can save a few bucks from newspapers if it were books.... id suggest reading books in an isolated and quiet place
