I have been unemployed since may and I am beginning to think its going to be alot longer. I have applied to every job no matter what it was. I have applied to at least 150 jobs. I recieved one interview which I am still awaiting a call back. One call back for an interview but I had to turn it down due to no transportation. My car died four months ago. My life stinks right now. I need a job so I can live! I hate not saying no to my daughter. anyone else struggling with the economy? Dl

Yes it is unfortunate the most people are affected by the unemployment issue. It is sad to think that there are so many of us that are falling by the wayside due to the lack of jobs. I dont have many sites that I make money on. Everytime I try to research money making sites, I get these bullsh** sites that involve alot of crap. I like mylot because its simple to earn. I have another one that I make money by taking surveys or answering emails. It takes a while but I am answering emails anyway. dl

Even people with jobs are struggling. It does make it hard to make ends meet and wonder when anything is going to get better. And the problem is there are way too many people looking for a job that it makes it hard for everyone out there. And so many continue to lay off as well. All I can say is do not give up and loose hope and something can come along when we least expect it as well. Wishing you the Best.

Posts like this remind me to count my blessings. I fell into more employment at the same time most people were losing theirs. It is a salary position, so I work a lot of hours "for nothing". No overtime. On the other hand, I am working, the pay is not bad and the bills are manageable. Not very many people can say that right now. It seems like once you are down you just get further down.

I just need money! I will take anything at this point.Especially with getting accepted at Hair school and all. I'll need to have cash on hand for notebooks, pens, number 2 pencils, binder, 5 subject notebook, etc. My neighbor has been nice enough to give me some erasers and an assignment book. A few others have said they'll send me stuff. I am not going to remind them though. I have had my hopes up high just to get them doused. The best thing I can have happen is that I get a JOB! Then I dont have to worry about anything. Oh Gerty does it ever stop? I think I already know the answer. I am so glad I have you in my discussions again. Thanks.dl

I got unemployed in February. Fortunately I have some savings that I'm using up before I put myself on the market again. I'm still figuring out what I want to do next before it becomes a necessity, but most likely I want to exhaust all self-employment options (I am looking presently seriously into professional writing before I start seeking professional help on my resume and having someone else tell me what to do. But then, professional writing involves doing what others tell you to do, but at least I will most readily agree with it (not being paid being the consequence))

I lost my job back in 2007 and went a few months without one. Then I was lucky enough to get one and lost that one due to cutbacks and it just snowballed. I finally got a job in March of this year and they are talking aboug closing due to the economy. I need to start looking for something soon. I'm glad my husband has a job right now, but still.. how bad can this get?

I know how you feel. I'm considering quite lucky that I still have my job with me. I am pitiful for those whom have not yet found a job nor being retrenched and stuff like that. In this current situation, there's nothing to do but to stay indoor and hopefully the expenditure will be less. What with the illness swine flu and the low economy, it's crucial to stay positive. Hang on, my friend.
