Should students get free parking lot at school? If not so, how much is enough?

I do not know about other countries, but in my country America, students have to pay to have parking lots at school.
I am studying in a statr University/ This year, I have to pay almost $150 just for a slot to park my car while I have classes.
To me, this is totally unfair. Students like us have to pay so many fees including tuitors fee, books fee, builing fees, stadium fees, and so on.
I know that the school has to deal with lots of bills, but they should not charge students too much just for parking spaces.
What is yout idea about this issue?

I completely agree with you that it's just too much. I can understand charging a reasonable parking permit fee to help fund maintenance on the parking lots, but I would consider a reasonable fee to be $15 to $20 per semester. My school charges around $190 per semester, and they charge even more for professors. I think that it's highway robbery, and I refuse to participate in it. There's a church nearby the college campus that lets students use its parking lot, so I usually park there are walk the rest of the way to class. It's inconvenient, but it saves a lot of money.

I guess buying a scooter or a bicycle is a best thing to do in college.

No. Schools are articulate, conniving liars when it comes to parking fees. My school charges almost $190 PER SEMESTER to park in slots that may or may not actually be available. They do not need that money, they just want it very badly to maintain the high pay of upper university administrative officials, and of course, the University gestapo style police who charge ten dollars if you're over the yellow line just a little.
