Just a couple of weeks ago, my monitor fell off my computer table because of an unexpected jerk. What was expected from this fall, that happened. The heavy monitor broke into a several pieces. I cried a lot. But I stopped crying just when my dad assured me that he was going to buy me an LCD monitor very soon. The monitor, which was broken, was a Samsung CRT type.
My dad kept his promise. Within the same week, he bought me an LCD monitor. It was a Philips brand, measuring 17”. I was so excited to see the monitor. I have seen LCD monitors of other brands my classmates use. But in my opinion, Philips LCD monitor is more beautiful to look at than most other brands. I like square screen LCD monitors, not the wide screen ones. I have got that type. I found that the brightness and contrast quality of this monitor has no compare. Even though the brightness ratio was set to 100%, it did not hurt my eyes at all. I am really proud of my new monitor.
Which type do you use? CRT or LCD?

Hi fwidman! You are so quick myLotter! WoW! Even before I could "tag" my discussion, you submitted reply to it! Wonderful. Thanks for your quick reply. I am happy to know that you, too, have bought an LCD monitor recently. Actually in near future, I believe, the CRT monitors will cease to exist.

Hey,
I don't actually have an LCD monitor, I actually have laptop but I don't know what type of screen it has. I think it maybe has a WXGA or whatever type screen, but I don't exactly know. Congratulations with your new LCD monitor, I envy you!!! Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

I have been using a LCD at home for quite a long time. The computer we use at work is an old CRT and these are quite annoying. Just wish sometimes that myLot could be in a color other than white so the glare did not bother me so bad at times, but I would never be without my monitor as well.
