How many hours do you sleep at night?

Doctors advise us to get a good eight hours of sleep each night. That will restore our body to tiptop condition. With my current mylotting hobby, the number of hours had been reduced. Fellow mylotters, how many hours do you sleep to rejuvenate the body?

Hi there, i wish i can sleep for atleast 8 hours but not its possible for me to do so. Sometimes i sleep late at night 11 or 12 and sometimes beyond 12 and then wake up around 6 pm. My daughter was sleeping beside me so everytime she was awake i have no choice but to wake also. Eventhough i have a little dizzy feeling i have to. So sad i am doing this for more than a year already, if i will be given a chance to sleep for whole day i will grab it easily .. Anyway, keep on posting good discussion and happy mylotting.

Erratic sleeping habits could sometimes take a toll on us, especially when we get older. Try to get that beauty sleep.

I don't get a chance to spend to much time on mylot. I usually spend about 2-3 hours everyday. About sleeping, well when I have holidays from my other work then I sleep about 8 hours but on other days its just 5-6 hours max. This is the reason my health, which is becoming worse, but theres nothing I can do about it. A man has to do his work other wise you all know we dont get paid.

Work is important to survive. You can't work though if your health fails. Try to reschedule so you can sleep'

I have two jobs, so 2 times a week I have to stay up for like 36h, on other days I have to wake up early, at 7 AM. It's hard to get 8 hours of sleep and it really disturbs me. When I am going to school (we have summer holidays at the moment), I usually get to sleep for 7-8 hours, but its still to few for me, maybe because of forced waking up. I think that 9-10 hours would be best for me.

Being a working student must be tough. Try to avoid the unnecessary activities with friends. I am sure they will understand. Sleep, then get the job and the schoolwork done.

I am the same as you, recently, I have spent a lot of time in mylot, and because of there is something wrong with the web connecting, I have to wait until midnight to come to mylot, then I will not sleep until about 3 am, I feel quite tired, however, I just do not want to go to bed. I only sleep about five to six hours .

You and I are candidates for insomnia. It's almost 4 am. But we had a power blackout down here, storm related. I think we should get that sleep now.

During the school semester I the normal amount of sleep I get is 4-5 hours! The workload is quite difficult! However on the weekend it jumps to about 10-12 hours to make up for the sleep lost during the week.
There are even quite a few occasions where I will completely disregard sleeping to get an assignment or project completed. (Which I know is detrimental to my health)
However now that it is summer, my usual amount of sleep is 10+ hours! :) Don't you just love summer?
Happy myLotting!

You must be aspiring for honors if you always burn the midnight oil. The requirements must be done. The readings are tremendous but necessary. Have a fun but fruitful summer, too.

I sleep a lot now I probably get more then 8 hours of sleep but if I have work and have to wake up early then I dont get that much sleep since I always go to bed late so I probably would get around 4 or 5 hours of sleep if I have work which is ok and It does not affect me.

At least you know that sleep is important. Work is something we have to do in order to live a comfortable life. Lessen the other activities so you can get more sleep.

I try to reach the required 8 hours but with a busy lifestyle, it is often not possible. However, mine is a bit close though. On average, I get at least 6-7 hours per night. :)

i sleep around 6-8 hours a day. usually i sleep late not because of mylot. i do it in mylotting in the morning after i am done biking. i just try to integrate mylot in my daily routine. anyway, as i've said, with my schedule i do get enough sleep. sleep is very important for me. my day is ruined if i don't get enough sleep during the night.

Hi Eileenleyva
FOr me it depends on what time I sleep - sometimes I sleep 7 and sometimes only 5 as sometimes I dont have time to or not in the mood to.
I know it is imp. for the body, brain and all :D but I try my best at all times to rest in order to have enough energy for the next day.
Thx

Hi Shery 32. When one is young, the excitement about life seems to be more important than the much needed rest - sleep. When one grows old, all the neglect for the body gradually takes its toll. Sleep regularly!
