150 new discussion OMG.......

I would rather have my friends respond to my discussion when ever they can.. I am not always on here so I can not expect other people to be on here all of the time! We all have our own lives away from mylot.. It would be rude to require a friend to respond to all of their discussions, let along the same day, besides most of us are on different time zones... Good luck with getting your emails down

oh yes my friend. there are times that my mail box gets full of notifications from mylot saying new discussions are being posted by friends. i read them all, one by one, and respond to all that i can relate to, if i have something to add to the topic. but of course, as stated in the guidelines, if i have nothing to say, i leave them. sometimes it real a tiring work here on mylot, when you have lots of friends, especially if most of them are very hardworking, works a lot of new ideas... neil

I just respond to discussions that interest me, whether old or new. I do not care if they already are marked best response, even.It sounds as if you have very active friends. I do not receive that many new discussions, and I have lots of people on my friend list.Just answer what you can and do not stress about it, Okay?

Wow.. that's really a lot, my friend.. I get close to that amount before too but lately, I've been getting less notifications. Maybe my email isn't working or some sort. Another alternative that I would do would be to log in and check manually. I like variety of discussions and it can range from anything at all.

I don't have it set up to where when my friends make discussions that an email gets sent to me otherwise I'd have to shift through too many emails since spam seems to have found its way onto my email account as well. But I do have it set up to when I receive a response I can view it since I do like to respond to as many of them as I can. Now if there haven't been too many new discussions in the topics at the top and I'm still in a mood to respond that is when I start to shift through what my friends have recently been posting and if the topic seems interesting then I'll respond.

not a good discussion topic

I have been overwhelmed a few times myself but always rey to answe them all if i know anything about the discussion. See that just shows u are a popular guy.

I still respond to most of them, even if I've been away from the computer for a few days. It's just my way of acknowledging my friends, since I figure they went through the bother of making up a discussion...they deserve an honorable response. Some topics I don't answer, simply because I may not know the subject, and/or I've either given my opinions before on similar subjects. cdrxo

When I get in this situation I just post a discussion asking for forgiveness and take a quick look at all discussions then delete and start fresh, it's just to hard for me to face trying to catch up.

You switch on the notification alert for all your friends? My goodness, if I were to do that, my email will burst. Without that email notificiation, my daily volume of email exceeds a hundred. Anyway I can't reply to all the discussions start by friends, i can only reply to some of the discussions in my interets group. Good luck to your endeavor to reply to each and every discussion, hope you dont suffer from burnout, or your fingers cramp from too much typing.

... It happens to me too when i left mylot just in two days... I got less than 80 notifications in my email from mylot, and i think it is gonna be a busy hours for me... So, i just reply and response which one is in my capacity to comments and delete others.

I have the same my emails say mylot all the way down so i try to answer all of them if i can but i do find it some days hard to keep up with everyone especially if they have started 6 discussions.I also find that i have alot of friend requests as well to answer to.

Everyday, a lot of my friends will start new discussions, some of them will start many discussions every day, some even start about fifty discussions, a very huge number, and for myself, I will start about five to ten discussions every day, it is also the goal for myself.

150 new discussions that is a lot. You must have a lot mylot friends. If I friends post interesting discussions, I would have respond to them. So take your time if you want to answer all of the discussions.
