Tasteless food is terrible. Food is better when you eat something and don't say, "Wow, that texture was awesome!" Imo, I think that food should be geared towards the particular tastes of the eater, though. So if you enjoy eating things that taste like fresh shoes (yeah, i've tasted that before, bon apatite!

Yes, but tasteless food can often be kicked up, without losing much nutritional value. Tofu, for example, can be cooked into a spicy gumbo that actually tastes quite nice. You do have a point though, stuff like that is very good for you. If it's all the same to you though, I'd rather live happy than healthy. :)

i havent tried eating food without taste. i mean there should always be salt or pepper or mayonaise or whatever to improve its taste. blanched vegies? i like it even with salt or vinegar - as long as it has taste.
but maybe when i am in the desert without water or anything.. i guess i will have to eat anything that is offered to me - even cactus! hehehehe ann

Hi Yuga. How are you ? Different foods have different tastes ofcourse. That's what makes the food attractive. I would not like tasteless foods. I often try different foods when I travel abroad, some are really very tasty and addictive. For instance, I every time enjoy Japanese food, sashimi, teriyaki, sushi. Very tasty indeed !

I already taste food that have no flavor such as soybeans or when i purchase viand from a vegetarian stalls or in a restaurant. usually the meals being serve is tasteless. the cook prepare it with little herbs as the natural flavoring. i bring in the vegetarian establishment my father to eat. as the food is good for his health. he got a coronary heart disease and fatty meat is not allow in his everyday meals. at first, I never really enjoy it but I manage to eat when i found out it is full of nutrients and cam make me live longer free from a lot of diseases.
