MySpace, Facebook, or Go Outside?

Hey guys, I'm frequently on the web and when it comes to getting in touch with my friends I'm not sure where to find them. I know that Myspace has been very popular, and yet Facebook is much more popular with adults. Is myspace just for the kiddies, or does it hold up for more adult users as well? It seems as though the two sites have the same capabilities, only the communities are different. Personally I'm in a band and find Myspace to be a great marketing tool, but is that all Myspace is these days? Maybe the better answer would be to get up and go outside? So what do you think?

I'm sure it would be better for us (phsyically anyway) to go outside and do something rather than sit in front of our computers all day on Myspace and Facebook. But as we know..That's not reality! I agree with you about Myspace being a good place to promote your music..you're definitely right. Facebook doesn't really have a similar system like Myspace does - it only has fan pages (and when you're just starting out, you might not have too many fans). I agree to an extent that Myspace is for younger generations - I see a lot of pre-teens & middle schoolers on it these days. Facebook is definitely geared toward a more adult crowd; possibly mainly consisting of college students and alumni. But I could be wrong.

I am on Myspace and Facebook, I find them completely different, I help a few musicians here in Austrlaia and I use Myspce for that, there doesn't seem to be much communication between friends there wheras facebook there is heeps of communication and applications you can join with your friends, I think facebook is more fun...
