Did we really land on the moon?

I was watching a TV show saying that men landing on the moon could have been faked. They had reasons such as...if there is no air on the moon then why is the American flag waving in the video of them placing it on the moon. Also there is no blast crater on the moon where the lunar module landed and there are no stars in the background where the astraonauts landed there. They were giving several other explanations to why they believe the landing was faked and really filmed at Area 51 and NOT on the moon. What do you think? I never really thought about it being "faked" til I saw this show. They have some pretty decent arguments, but still hard to believe it is a big lie. Was it really a government cover up? Tell me your views.

Well that certainly would have been something interested to see that tv show. It sounds like they came up with some pretty good theories but honestly I have no idea if they really landed on the moon or not. It seems like there would be no point in lying about it. I dont know what possible reason they would have for making it all up.

There wouldn't be a good reason to make this stuff up. Some people just try to fool us if they can.

I know this piece was posted years and years ago, but I came across it, and just had to comment... maybe you've seen some of the pieces showing what they were looking at on those conspiracy programs, and disproving any validity to them... but, I'll still tell you.... The american flag wasn't waving like it would, if there was air. It was held up by a beam, and when moved, at all, it looked like it was shaking. If you did the same thing with a flag, anywhere there is air, it would not look the same. There's no crater for 2 reasons. 1, there is very little dust to be moved, because they were landing on rock, and there would only be a crater if it landed on the moon with impact, like a meteor, but it landed very softly. For the little dust there was, the rockets wouldn't move it away, because that happens on earth, because the rockets move the air, which moves the dust, but there is no air on the moon, so they don't move the dust. There are no stars in the background in the photos, in the exact same way that if you can see stars in the sky, and you take a picture of your friends with flash, where the picture is snapped for 1/60th of a second, you also won't see stars. You need a long exposure to see stars, because such a low level of light gets to us. None of the conspiracy ideas make sense, unless you don't know how it works. Shows like mythbusters had a great showing of how everything that was shown in images, makes perfect sense, to landing on the moon.

Thanks for that explanation.
