Do you try on the clothes before buying them?

I notice in some clothing shopping centers, there are rows of compartments allocated for try-out. Girls and ladies go in and out, with a lot of clothes hanging on arms. I wonder how many would be selected. Do you try them on before buying?

Hello zhuhuifen, I find your question amusing, as if women are another species and you can't quite understand our behaviour. I try clothes on to make sure that they fit, imagine buying something and getting home and realising it fits like a sack. In Greece they don't use standard sizing like in the UK and USA so it gets confusing unless it is tried on. I understand it's not a man thing, well not here anyway.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. In my early days, few would buy more than one at a time, maybe for financial reasons. That is why still odd to see girls grabing so many at a time.

Good point CoCo This happens all the time especially with sizes that goes with odd numbers instead of even numbers.

I sometimes try on clothes other times I cant deal with it. I am mostly likely to try on pants because I am pretty sure most tops will fit me, but alot of times I really need to try on pants to make sure they are going to fit. There is a lot of discrepancy wit pants ans you just never really know what is going to happen with it.

Actually no. I know what size I wear and buy that size. A long time ago I heard about stores where security ppl would sit behind the mirrors in the dressing rooms and watch ppl change cloths to be sure they weren't shoplifting...since then I've never tried anything on. It is weird to hear about it. For sized sports, you can buy without tryon. Most ladies are picky though.

It depends on what type of clothing it is, but most of the time yes, do try anything I buy on. I want to make sure that I am spending money on something that fits.

I usually go and try on clothes before I buy them. I kinda think girls/women do it more then men. Honestly if I just picked out clothes and brought them I would go crazy because most jeans at regular stores aren't long enough for me. So I benefit from trying on jeans when I go shopping. Just like this past Friday. The mall was having a great sale on just about everything. I went into 1 store found 5 pair of jeans, and left the store empty handed just because they didn't fit. So trying on clothes before I buy them is a must, so I don't spend my money.

Hi zhuhuifen I do like to try on only the ones I'll buy and only if I'm not sure how it will look like as sometimes you may find something you like and everything but when you try it on it doesent look good. Also some sizes are bigger or smaller than the usual known sizes. Thx

Lots of times I do yeah, other times I dont do it. Sometimes I just hope that they will fit and sometimes when i do that I am disappointed when i get home. If the clothes cost enough I make sure I try them on before I get home, otherwise I just kind of wing it. I have some clothes in my closet right now that don't fit me. I'm not sure what I will do with them.

Hi there friend. Both me and my girlfriend (but also my brother and parents) and probably all the people i know do try the cloths if possible before buying them (if available). There are so many different sizes one L from one firm is smaller than an M from the other, it's hectic out there i tell you ! Overall, i think trying out before buying (if possible) is advised in order to ensure your money are well spent.

No I usually don't ever try on clothes before I buy them. It takes up to much time and I know what size I am so I don't need to try it on to know if it fits me. I just look at the tag and see what size it is, and if it is my size, then it's most likely to fit me.

Hello my friend zhuhuifen46 Ji, Oh! my God, I could't have this oppurtunity so far in my life. I never purcased and as I wear sarees, there is no question of trial, as only color, design and lenth matters. All my inner cloths, there was a time, when I used to ntailor them myself, but now I give cloth along with my sample cloth to make taht size. So it may look unique. But I am helpless. I never tried so far. MaY god bless You and have a great time.

I will try the clothes first, after I glance around and make sure there's no hidden camera anywhere (things with stupid people and hidden cameras these days really freak me out~~~) I don't want to buy something that don't fit and end up coming back to change them. Sometimes I need to give them away as the shop won't accept the clothes to be change. I only take a couple of clothes to try. Besides, some shops will stated that only the maximum of 5 clothes can be taken into the changing room at one time.

I try everything on before I buy it because a lot of times something will look extremely cute on the hanger and then it will end up making you look like a muffin later on. So why not try it on? It only takes a few minutes to try on your purchases and it saves you a lot of time and hassle if once you get home you decide you don't really like the item and then you have to drive all the way back out to only find out that the store is only going to give you store credit back etc. Also working in retail I have come to notice that many stores don't use standard sizes. Like with some brands a 3/4 is a 0 in another so always try things on!!!

I hate trying clothes on before I buy them, especially in a store where cameras (and security guards) can watch everything. If it doesn't fit, I'll take it back, give it away, or use it for material in my various crafting projects.

I usually dont try on the shirts cause I know my size. But pants are a different story. I have to try them on cause you never know if you put on a pound or two ;)

I alwyas try the clothes before buying it, to see if the dress was fit and good for me, especially if the mall has fitting room, to chose which dress is best for me.
