How can i find my old buddies and sweethearts online?

Hi All,
As the Internet has progressed so much that it brings all people together. My friends have suggested me orkut.com to find my friends. I joined that website and was able to find some of my friends but most of my friends are now abroad in Us, UK etc i need to catch up with them . Do you have any website from where i could find those lost friends online. Thanks in advance.

I'd totally lost contact with all my ex-school mates and pen pals since I left school 23 years ago. I'd no idea where to locate them until I registered as Facebook user 2 years ago. After one month, I managed to locate 3 of my ex-schoolmates and we started to organize gatherings. To date, I've located more than 50 of my ex-schoolmates and also all my pen pals. Without Facebook, I don't think I can be in contact with all my buddies and friends again.
