Co-Signing on Loan

Ok according to my husband's school he needs more student loan. We applied for financial aid, and his public loan, [not sure how much he is getting as yet] now his school is pushing for him to apply for a private loan, which he will be approved with a co-signer because they are saying he doesn't have enough credit.
Now i already co-signed on a $5,000 Student loan for him in January. Now i really DO NOT want to co-sign on anymore student loans for him, how do I get out of doing so.
I don't want to sound like a bad person here, but my husband is a spender and i'm a saver, he will max all his credit cards and at the end of the month pays them off [hence not saving]. He already got in a situation where I had to bail him out with approx $8,000 and i got that money from my CC now i'm paying that back with out his help, [while he spends his money]. I know I shouldn't be thinking this but if we break up i would feel a huge financial relief. We have a house together and a newborn.
I could go on, but let me ask how can i get out of co-signing for this student loan, i really don't want to. [plus I already have mine and still have a few more courses to finish my mba]
thanks
