Do you spend much on buying makeup?

I use makeup everyday in going to work. I may say that I don't spend too much on it except for my lipstick. My lipstick is so expensive because I have allergic reactions on some brands of lipsticks. I buy hypoallergenic lipsticks only. For my eye shadows, blush on and face powder, it doesn't cost much. So far, my only expensive makeup is my lipstick. How about you, do you spend much on makeup?

I actually don't wear makeup at all. I tried a couple of times, but I really don't like the feel of it and my husband actually prefers if I don't wear it, so I just go without. :) Every once in a while if I've got some bad acne then I might wear coverup, but most times I just go without. So I guess I don't spend too much at all! LOL.

I'm a woman of Asian blood so makeup really doesn't do much for my face but put colour on it. I actually look better without it so on the rare occasions that I do, it's so little that one can hardly tell. *Pleiades

That's the good thing about makeups, we don't easily consume it or buy it more often. We spen money for makeup once a year or two. Have a nice day.

hardly anything. the only thing closest to make up that i regularly buy is lip balm. haha. it's not that i hate make up, it's fun to put a bit on random ordinary days and even more fun to do so on special occasions. it's just that my sister always buys me make up so i don't really need to. oh, sometimes i buy this really cheap liquid blush (around $4) that i'm so fond of. i just hate that it leaves a stain on my fingers that's so hard to remove, but it's the most natural looking liquid blush that i tried so i still use it.

I have never used a liquid blush on. I use compact powder blush on which lasts a day. I don't have to keep on putting it more often. Thanks for responding.

No not really I tend to have times for buying make up then thats done.not wearing much makeup it tends to last ages the only thing I replace on a regular basis is mascara as it it dangerous if it lasts to long ,it is poison to your eyes if you keep it to long unopened.I do like shiny eye shadow and dark lipstick, unlike you I can use anything or brand normally bodyshop as I get concerned about animal testing.Avon is another good choice as well .

Bodyshop is nice. .. AVon lipstick was the worst for me. It badly damaged my lips .. .. Have a good day Suzzy.

I don't use much make up. I like the natural look.I just use a really good lip-gloss and eyeliner. That is it! Low maintainence huh. So that is all that I ever use and hence don't spend much on it. But get this, I do like buying lipsticks. Its like a crazy hobby. I don't use them much but I buy them. Call me nuts if you want too.LOL

well, i dont keep shifting brands because am allergic as the same way as you do, however i will not spend that much in make ups... the lipstick which i use comes for around 3-4 months... so no need to worry about it.... same is the case with mascara and eyeliner as well...

I wear make-up for work so I do have a lot of make-up, but I don't spend as much on it as I used too...I'd buy a shade, wear it a few times then decided I didn't like it & go out & buy another one a few days later...but now I have found the right shades for me & I stick with them so when I am out that is when I buy make-up.....

Getting the right shade to match the skin tone is important factor in choosing a makeup. it's good that you have found the right shade for you and you should stick to that. Have a wonderful day.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that you have such a hard time with makeup and having to resort to a specialty type. With my daughter and I, we just go to the dollar store and pick up whatever we need from there. Granted, they may not always have what we want but another one would. Is it better or worse? I don't know...I only know their stores but I have found some name brand items there before. So, I'm able to get everything from an eyelash curler to eyebrow pencils...pretty cool I say. And now, I must go and scold my 18 month old son for throwing things at me as he's standing on the stairwell. *Pleiades

It really depends on the quality of the makeup. If I am assured that it's worth the price, I don't mind buying it. Besides, a lot of pricey brands offered promises on my skin... but only a few is really worth their being expensive. On the other hand, there are cheap brands who worked actually well. It really helps to try out samples before deciding to buy anything.

Not all expensive makeups are good for our skin. There are very expensive makeup which gives us a lot of pimples and sometimes it irritates our skin.

I hardly wear make-up since I am not up to it most of the time. It makes me itch when I wear make-up so I chose not to wear it everyday. At some cases I do like when I feel like it and even if I wear make-up nobody notices since I wear make-up because of my eye bags. Other than that, there is really no reason for me to wear make-up.

makeup is the best way to hide those eye bags. There are concealers that work best in hiding the eye bags. Thanks for responding. Have a nice day.

I love donig make up...but only on parties...or on some special occasions...! And i spend alot on make up...especially on lipsticks...........i jus love them....and lip gloss or lip balm......but always a bit choosy because there are some brands which dosent suits me too.and the second thing comes the eye liner.and i am crazy for a perfect and mindblowing eye make up. But yaa i buy them as much i want but i use them very rarely and thus i pass them to mom...!I love buying lipstcks, glaze wear especially the white diamonds, deos but my skin is allergic to all of them so i just buy them but for my mum or my dad........!

No I hardly spend anything on makeup. I learned about a brand of inexpensive products while reading seventeen magazine. It's called eyeslipsface and their website is www.eyeslipsface.com. Everything you buy from eyeliner to mascara to blush is only one dollar! It is also good quality. I don't really wear makeup that often either so I usually only end up spending about 2-3 dollars a month on makeup which is an extremely low price.

Hi! I used to. But then later I realized that it's not worth the money. Most of the make-up I buy are either not working out for me or are just the same as the more affordable ones. So I'm buying the affordable ones, but I still insist in quality though. There are many products out there which are actually not that expensive but already have great quality. Although I find it hard for eyeshadows... :)

I did during my first two years as a teacher... but i find wearing make up futile because my face tend to sweat a lot... so after a few minutes... almost all the make up is gone... So, now... i only put on make up during special occassions... and when i know i will spend a lot of time inside and airconditioned room...

I found this organic make up at Wal-Mart and I like it because it feels light on my skin. I pay for Clinique's 3 step system and some other products they have and love the way it makes my skin feel and its hard to go from that feeling to the heaviness and greasy feel that a lot of make up causes. I like my pores to breathe :) If anyone wants the name of this make up ask and I will find out. I'm out at the moment and can't remember the name. It's around $10 for a thing of the organic foundation.

as soon as i get a real job i will spend alot of money on make up because i want the best make up. like my mom has. and right i just spend my money on claires make up. its pretty nice for now. i don't know where else to buy cheap make up at. and i buy exspensive lip gloss. bought one ( alittle one) for 25 dollars then i bought another for 12.50. and a cheap really nice one for 6.99. i'm gonna stop buying exspensive lip gloss because i don't think its worth it really.
