I was out in the garden spreading grass clippings on the garden when I noticed a dragonfly sitting on a tomato stake. I put my finger out to it and it climbed onto my finger! He sat there for quite some time then flew back to the stake! It was so neat!
Have you ever held a dragonfly?

Hey sweet! Nope! I never have held a dragon fly! I'm not even
sure I would know one if I saw it! What do they look like? I
know what a firefly looks like! But, not sure if I know what
a dragonfly looks like! I'll bet they are beautifly though!
How nice for you to be able to at least hold one for a little
while!

They have long skinny bodies, big eyes and transparent wings. I find them to be quite pretty.

I love dragonfly. But I have never hold a dragonfly. But my sister did. She managed to catch a dragon fly when we were kids. She then use a string and tied it on its tail. Unlucky the knot that she made was loose and the dragonfly flew away. You are just lucky... Did you take some pictures of the dragon fly?

I have never tied a string to a dragonfly before but we used to make June Bug Kites when I was a kid (a june bug is a big green beetle we woul tie string to a leg and it would fly along on the string). I have only had a dragonfly land on me a few times in my life but this one was special cause it stayed there quite awhile. Go figure I didn't have my camera with me at the time!

How could that butterfly be so tamed? I know butterflies are so alert. Whenever they feel someone is coming close to them they'd fly away. In fact one time I saw a butterfly in a clothesline and I was really delighted so I took a photo. It led me to remember my childhood. I used to love catching butterflies. It was one of my favorite hobbies and although I could catch them it takes so much effort. So how come that butterfly even climbed onto your fingers and sat there for a while. Amazing!

A friend sent me this photo which her captured while she was walking along the road. This really makes me happy because it's been a long time since I've seen a pink dragonfly. This really reminded me of my childhood. Those were the days when catching dragonfly in the field was our main concern as child. Ahhh what a happy memory!

I mean "A friend sent me this photo which her camera captured while she was walking along the road." Sorry for the typo.
