Well, it is just a way of thinking differently. Everyone of us is aware that the cup is half empty and half full. What makes the difference is that the concept you put your concentration on. I will go for the cup is HALF EMPTY. Doing this will always remind me of the fact that it needs to be filled. If i don`t realize it is half empty, how would i be able to make it full. I can utilize the half for myself and give the other half to help somebody else. But, side by side, i will not forget that it is half full so that it may be used whenever required.
Always try to focus on the side of coin that the world generally does not show you.
Happy Mylotting!!

Hey,
For some reason, I have never ever looked at it, that the cup is half empty, only half full. Yet in life, I am always a pessimistic type person, I don't really know why. Maybe that is me just on the outside, not the inside. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Dear EliteUser,
Glad to hear from you
You are always pessimistic as a person? It is not too late, you
can trained yourself to be a positive person
If we look at the life in a positive way, means there is something
good to look forward too. I do believe positive energy attracts
more positive energy like the book "Secret" mentioned and also
Bible encouraged "faith - positive thinking!". I believe you will
achieve much more in your life when you try to be optimistic. All
the best for a better future and you definitely can achieve it!
God Bless you too :)

Hi Iriene, it goes without saying that it is both half full and half empty, that is a fact that can't be argued with. Now if you move the idea away from water to another beverage it will definitely be half full. Take our local coffee practically served in thimbles to start with. The cup may look half full but mosyt of the bottom half is undrinkable sludge, which is why the half full glass of water which is served with it is often poured into the coffee to revive it. I defintely though would take the half empty approach.

I need to check that cup thoroughly first. If there is a slight mark of saliva and lip stain, then I'll know that the cup is half empty as someone has already sipped half of it. If it is clean throughout the rim, then I know that the cup is half full as it was poured half only. So much about implication on my life eh? So is my life half full or half empty? I think my life is full of emptiness! Hahaha.. Nah, my life is full at the moment. My boy keeps me busy. And myLot keeps me busy too..

keep you busy... you are definitely looking at the cup half full
(optimistic) on myLot. Happy myLotting!

Those who are pessimistic in life tend to view the cup as half-empty. However as another myLotter posted, such people tend to always be vexed; and those who are vexed LOSE! Personally, I view the cup as half full because I pride myself in being an optimist and looking at the bright side of situations! :)
Good topic; happy myLotting!

irene .. it depends on what is in the cup
if it is something i dont like i will always think as half empty, so that i can feel "not much to finish"
if it is something i love then i will always think as half full, so that it can be filled to the top
cheers

We all have the power to choose what we deem important in our lives. We can choose to see doom and gloom OR we can choose to see the good in everything. MY CUP IS ALWAYS HALF FULL!!!Since I try to see the good in everything and everybody, it's not long before someone wants to fill my cup full!! How about it Iriene88? Fill'er up????

Yes I agree depending on the answer you give. So here is how I feel, If the cup is filled with water half way up, it half full to me. Which makes me optimistic. When someone would say half empty that is being pessimistic.
