Hi, after I saw the latest movie I started to think about which Harry Potter film was the best for me. After alot of debating with the other people in my household and my family I seem to like the 5th film the most (Order of the Pheonix) because I like the way that the film folds out, and also the use of the special effects.
So how about you?

For me, its between Goblet and Prisoner. I like the older looking Harry (he looks like a baby in 1 and 2, which is fine, just makes it more of a young children's movie), and the scenes were nice, without changing too much. Ootp, for me, was a nightmare of disjointed, randomly cut scenes with a breathlessly scared Hermione and a lot of awkward acting. It's grown on me a bit since I first saw it, but sheesh... from a movie standpoint is was like having a epileptic siezure.. But I've already said here before that what they change from the books matters WAAAAY less to me that things like timing, visual appeal, "magic", flow... etc. Like Rowling said, as long as they are true to the heart of Harry Potter.
I do understand the complaints about 6. I agree with them. I can just look over it.

I would say best of the Harry Potter movie series is the first one.. Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. Not that other movies are bad. But the director had a lot of work to do in the first part. Bringing out every character and every scene as mentioned in the book. Further more all the child artists who stared in that did extremely well. Especially wen Emma Watson asks a ghost "How can yo be nearly headless?".
