Tonight I decided to bake up some yummy Chocolate Chip Cookies!!!
My 4 kids are so excited about me baking the cookies. I usually make them from a recipe with the flour and the sugar, chocolate chips, etc. but today I was feeling lazy and saw the tub at the warehouse store where I was buying my weekly groceries. So I decided to grab a tub and take it home to make later.
Well, it is later now and I just turned on the oven. The kids are all hovering by the stove waiting for it to preheat. I can't wait either to be honest with you. Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite cookies of all.
Ok, I just took a quick break while I was typing this and went and put them on the cookie sheet. Mmmm....mmmm...mmmm!! 10 minutes until freshly baked yummy yummy cookies! My kids are practically doing back flips at this point.
I really am looking forward to it too! I got some milk so as you can tell we are having milk and cookies for dessert tonight!
So, what did you have for dessert tonight? Or were you good and didn't have any dessert? I think it is so rewarding to see the happy expressions on my kids faces with the simple little pleasures in life like this!
Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!

Mmmm...I love birthday cake!
Well, it is ok to be lazy and just use the pre-made dough. At least it is warm from the oven and I think they taste better than the packaged stuff like Chips Ahoy and others like it.
Thanks for your comment and have a great day!!!

Awww no fair..now you got me salivating so much I am going to short out my keyboard. Chocolate chip has always been one of my favorites and was my all time favorite till I tried White chocolate chunk macadamia nut cookies, but I get those so rarely only when the kids are selling tubs of cookie dough for the school once a year. So it is chocolate chip the rest of the time. I love when they are soft and chewy..mmmmmmmm

I find that putting them on a Tupperware bowl with a sealed tight lid help alot in keeping them softer and chewy. Most times.

Iy sounds like it was a wonderful event at your house. You really made the most of it. Those times are so precious in a family.
My Mum worked full time so didn't have nuch time for baking. She used to make cream puffs for special occasions and they were to die for. We were only allowed one each. I remember the first cake I baked...it was a marble cake, packet mix. I did it all by myself when I was about 10. I asked for help a couple of times and my sister told me to read the instructions. So helpful...NOT! I was quite nervous about it...I think it fell apart...don't know why but my Dad was good about it and it did get eaten...by the handful, not the slice...

That is so sweet! I was working full time until I had my 4th child 4 years ago. Now I am at home and have more free time to concentrate on cooking and what not. But unfortunately I am now trying to find at least a part time job in order to bring in a little extra money. I am trying to enjoy all the time I have with them.
Thanks for your comment and have a great day!!!

You have to share with all of us in the mylot world now! We will all be waiting on our batch of cookies. LOL!! I do like fresh baked cookies. I will have zucchini cookies tonight as soon as we have dinner as I have the dough in the fridge now. I used to buy that cookie dough in the tubs all of the time and my family loved it!!

My granddaughter will be staying tonight so we'll probably have a dish of her lactose free ice cream with a little chocolate syrup and strawberries on it! My mouth is watering already....she also love to bake cookies so that might be something else we'll have...just depends on my patience!

You should make a cookie pie and then let your kiddos decorate it with icing. Those are always so yummy.

I love chocolate chip cookies! Not many people can taste the difference between homemade and the ready-made dough in the tub, but I can. I really prefer my own but I haven't made them for ages, since my boys grew up and I moved back here to Ohio by myself. I like to put walnuts in them, too!
I hope your kids loved the cookies! I don't often have dessert, maybe once a week. I'd love to have some blueberry-topped cheesecake tonight but it's time for bed, the blueberries are frozen and I have no cheesecake--thank goodness! The scales will thank me.

Mmmm...they are my favorite! My oldest daughter, the 10 year old, came around after dinner today and was looking for the leftover chocolate chip cookies from last night. Her brother had eaten them all up so she was livid!
I told her to relax and I would just make up some more tonight from the tub. Geesh, there are like 80 or so servings in the tub so I can make them up lickety split. I love the convenience.
Oooh...that cheesecake idea sounds really yummy...

Oooh, I love chocolate chip cookies too, but still much prefer the homemade.
I had an ice cream cone last night for dessert. In fact, I've been having an ice cream cone way too often, as my waistline can attest to. I need to work on that one.
I got my mother's fudge recipe (she passed last month) and am going to try to make that today. My sisters and I have all tried it several times over the years but none of us has been successful in getting it quite right, like Mom's. I'm going to give it another shot and hopefully be able to carry on her legacy with the best fudge around.

I love fudge too! My cousin finally gave me the recipe for her Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge and I have been making that for the past 3 years now. Good luck in making your mom's fudge. You know practice makes perfect. Just keep on trying.
I love ice cream cones too.

I don't like chocolate but if you are going to make some sugar cookies or an apple pie or something like that then I will be right on over!
Your family is very lucky to get home made hot delicious cookies! I bet your kids are ecstatic!

That is why I just love using the dough in the tub. It is easy, turn on the oven, get a spoon, put it on the cookie sheet and pop it in the oven. Even when I feel lazy I can have dessert on the table in under 20 minutes!
